Job summary

embIND Embitel Technologies (India) Private Limited is seeking an E2E Test Engineer in Bengaluru (Whitefield). You will perform component, integration and end‑to‑end testing for automotive systems, analyze CAN messages, set up tests, and maintain hardware.

You will develop automation in Python and collaborate with CI/CD teams. The role requires 5–10 years of experience, familiarity with vehicle networking protocols and security concepts, and hands‑on experience with test racks and Databricks

E2E Test Engineer

Group: IDS

Business Unit: CARIAD

Location: Whitefield, Bangalore

Experience: 5 to 10 years

Responsibilities

• Perform component, integration, and manual/automated end‑to‑end testing for automotive systems.
• Analyze and validate CAN messages, system triggers, and IDS testing, including test setup and hardware maintenance.
• Develop and maintain tests as part of an international product team, ensuring test quality and results.
• Support validation of products, prototypes, MVPs, vehicle‑level tests, and official end‑to‑end validations.
• Manage and track test cases in Xray (JIRA): creation, update, execution, traceability with requirements/implementation JIRA tickets, and result documentation.
• Trigger and monitor test runs, documenting all evidence and results.
• Create detailed test reports for project stakeholders.
• Collaborate with developers and CI/CD engineers to simulate environments (e.g., SOME‑IP, system triggers).
• Perform cloud‑related validation using backend tools (e.g., Databricks) and SQL queries.
• Develop automation using Python and helper scripts in Shell.
• Collaborate with IDS teams to continuously improve tooling, processes, and solving potential roadblocks.
• Articulate security findings and present them to project stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in component and end‑to‑end testing in the automotive domain (ECUs, vehicle platforms, integration).
• Strong understanding of vehicle networking protocols (CAN, SOME‑IP, TLS, etc.) and Ethernet protocols (TCP, UDP, sockets, ports, system triggers).
• Hands‑on experience with test racks (setup, troubleshooting, handling).
• Experience in automotive cybersecurity (DOS attacks) and familiarity with ISO/SAE 21434 and IDS.
• Experience with access control, firewall, network segmentation, CAN‑bus and Ethernet security, secure communication, and OTA.
• Hands‑on experience with Xray in JIRA or Codebeamer for test‑case management.
• Experience working in Agile environments (SAFe / Scrum / Kanban).
• Experience in creating test runs and structured test reports.
• Basic knowledge of backend tools (e.g., Databricks) and ability to execute SQL queries for data validation.
• Proficiency in Linux, Python, shell scripting, and tool support.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional international teams and communicate findings clearly.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Analytical and structured problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good to have familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Docker).
• Good to have understanding of Adaptive AUTOSAR basics and DLT log analysis.
