Job description

• 8–12+ years of experience in IBM i–based enterprise application support
• Strong background supporting Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or logistics platforms
• Proven ability to operate independently under high-pressure production environments
• Strong ownership mindset with excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
• Strong hands-on expertise in IBM i (AS/400) application support
• Expert-level knowledge of Db2 for i SQL, including complex multi-table joins and transaction tracing
• Deep understanding of:
• Batch job architecture and scheduling
• Job logs, journals, commitment control, and transaction recovery
• Proven experience handling file-based system integrations
• Strong understanding of state-driven WMS transaction models
• Ability to safely perform data-level fixes in production environments
• Solid background in production support operations and ITIL practices
• Provide 12×5 production support for mission-critical warehouse operations
• Monitor, control, and troubleshoot IBM i batch jobs, job queues, and job logs
• Diagnose and resolve production issues including:
• Stuck or failed orders, picks, replenishments, and inventory movements
• Data inconsistencies and invalid transaction states within WMS
• Interface failures with ERP and external systems
• Perform advanced Db2 for i SQL analysis to trace transactional flows and identify root causes
• Execute controlled data corrections following audit and compliance standards
• Manage interface reprocessing, recovery, and reconciliation activities
• Own root cause analysis (RCA) and drive preventive and corrective actions
• Define, maintain, and enhance SOPs, runbooks, and recovery procedures
• Act as the final escalation point for complex production incidents
• Coordinate closely with:
• Warehouse operations teams
• ERP application teams
• Infrastructure and IBM i administration teams
• Third-party WMS vendor (Hardis Group)
• Support system upgrades, configuration changes, performance tuning, and stabilization initiatives
