Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise APIs with IBM API Connect.
• Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, OpenAPI specs, and API security.
• Experience with API lifecycle management and API governance in large environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and deploy APIs using IBM API Connect.
• Develop REST and SOAP APIs for enterprise application integration.
• Apply OpenAPI, JSON/XML schemas, and policy configurations.
• Manage API security, authentication, and error handling.
• Oversee full API lifecycle from development to retirement.
• Collaborate with diverse teams and provide production support.

• Job Summary
• We are looking for an experienced IBM API Connect Developer with strong hands-on expertise in API development, API management, integration, security, and lifecycle management.
• The candidate will be responsible for developing and managing enterprise APIs using IBM API Connect, integrating applications and services, implementing API security, and supporting API deployments across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and deploy APIs using IBM API Connect.
• Develop REST and SOAP APIs for enterprise application integration.
• Work with OpenAPI Specification, JSON, XML, XML Schema, XPath, XSLT, and XQuery.
• Configure API policies, security definitions, authentication, authorization, and error handling.
• Manage the complete API lifecycle, including development, testing, publishing, deployment, monitoring, and retirement.
• Work with IBM API Connect Cloud and API Gateway environments.
• Configure and customize the API Connect Developer Portal.
• Integrate external user registries with API Connect.
• Work with built-in and user-defined policies and GatewayScript.
• Troubleshoot API, integration, and deployment-related issues.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, and business teams.
• Support API architecture improvements and enterprise integration requirements.
• Prepare technical documentation and provide production support.
