Job summary

A leading IT consulting firm in Bengaluru is hiring a Senior Consultant to develop e-commerce UI components based on designs and client requirements. The role emphasizes performance, quality, and accessibility in an Agile environment. Candidates should have extensive experience with Hybris Spartacus, TypeScript, Angular, HTML5, and CSS3. Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience with Hybris Spartacus.
• At least 3 years of experience with TypeScript, Angular and RxJS.
• At least 5 years of experience in building user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and consuming JSON web services via AJAX.
• Experience with precompiled CSS using LESS or SASS, and front-end frameworks like Bootstrap and Tachyons.
• Basic knowledge of server-side technologies such as Node.js.
• Strong skills in time management, critical thinking, problem-solving, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience with code and issue management software like Git and JIRA.
• Experience working with Agile Methodologies.
• Good verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop e-commerce UI based on provided designs or mockups.
• Modify existing UI to meet client requirements.
• Add new UI components that can be customized by the client through Hybris SmartEdit.
• Code with a focus on performance, quality, and SEO.
• Write accessible HTML code that meets WCAG 2.0 Level AA criteria.
• Use a continuous improvement approach, refactoring code when needed.
• Keep project documentation up-to-date.
• Use SAFe (Agile), GitFlow, and Pivotrees CI/CD workflow in the development process.
• Work closely with the Project Manager and Business Analyst to refine and estimate the Product Backlog.
• Participate in SCRUM ceremonies and maintain a proactive attitude.
• Support other developers and review/help improve their code.
• Support the QA team during the testing process.
• Keep HTML, CSS, and JS knowledge up-to-date.
