Job summary

Sobha Projects Trade in Mumbai is seeking an experienced HVAC Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and supervise large HVAC installations across commercial and residential sites. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage budgets, and ensure timely handovers.

The role requires deep knowledge of chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV, and related ducting, piping, and ventilation systems, with strong leadership and client-facing skills.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience in HVAC project execution and project management.
• Strong knowledge of chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV, ducting, piping and ventilation systems.
• Experience in commercial, residential, industrial, or large-scale MEP projects.
• Excellent client coordination, team leadership, planning and budgeting skills.

Responsibilities

• Create project timelines, resource allocation plans, and milestones.
• Review drawings, BOQ, and resolve MEP conflicts with other trades.
• Source and track major equipment and manage expenses and variations.
• Supervise site engineers, technicians, and subcontractors on installations.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and handovers with building operators.
• Enforce safety regulations and conduct quality inspections on-site.

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Planning & Scheduling: Create project timelines, resource allocation plans, and milestones using tools like MS Project or Primavera.


• Design & Drawing Coordination: Review shop drawings, blueprints, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ); resolve structural or routing conflicts with other MEP trades.


• Procurement & Budgeting: Source and purchase major equipment (chillers, AHUs, ductwork), track expenses, and manage financial variations or billing.


• Site Management: Supervise site engineers, technicians, and subcontractors to maintain high installation standards.


• Testing & Commissioning (T&C): Oversee system flushing, pressure testing, balancing (TAB), and final handovers with building operators.


• Safety & Quality Control: Enforce local health and safety regulations and conduct quality assurance inspections on-site.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering


• Proven experience in HVAC project execution and project management.


• Strong knowledge of Chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV, ducting, piping, and ventilation systems.


• Experience in commercial, residential, industrial, or large-scale MEP projects.


• Strong skills in client coordination, team management, planning, budgeting, and project execution.


• Good knowledge of HVAC drawings, BOQ, estimation, billing, testing, and commissioning.


• Ability to manage multiple teams, subcontractors, and site activities effectively.


• Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.


• Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools preferred.


• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
