Job summary

Surbana Jurong in Mumbai seeks an experienced HVAC Design Engineer with 5–10 years of HVAC design and building services experience. You will deliver HVAC design solutions for overseas and local projects, ensuring compliance with design standards, project specifications, and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in HVAC design and building services engineering.
• Experience working on local and/or international building projects.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, design calculations, and engineering principles.
• Knowledge of relevant international and local codes and standards.
• Experience in preparing HVAC drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP or equivalent tools.
• Good coordination, communication, problem-solving and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop HVAC designs for commercial, residential, institutional, and other building projects.
• Prepare HVAC design calculations, cooling and heating load calculations, and equipment selection.
• Develop HVAC layouts, ducting layouts, piping layouts, and system schematics.
• Prepare design drawings, specifications, schedules, and other project deliverables.
• Design HVAC systems including air-conditioning, ventilation, chilled water, and related services.
• Coordinate designs with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection disciplines.
• Review inputs, project specs, and applicable codes and standards.
• Support preparation and review of technical reports, calculations, and design documentation.
• Conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with project quality standards and deadlines.
• Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Support BIM/CAD modelling and interdisciplinary clash coordination where applicable.
• Provide technical support during project execution and address design-related queries.
