Job summary

Peoplefy is seeking an experienced HVAC Design Engineer in India to lead design efforts for data center and industrial projects. You will work on chilled water systems, SFN piping, precision cooling, and critical cooling infrastructure, with hands-on calculations and documentation.

The role involves reviewing BIM models, conducting clash detection, and coordinating with clients and vendors to obtain technical approvals. Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD and Navisworks is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with CRAH/CRAC units and critical cooling infrastructure.
• Proficiency in cooling load calculations, hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, pressure drop and pump sizing.
• Experience in HVAC layouts, P&IDs, schematics, BOQs and technical documentation.
• Working knowledge of Revit MEP, AutoCAD and Navisworks.
• Familiarity with HAP/Carrier, ACC/BIM 360 and relevant HVAC design standards.
• Experience in BIM coordination, model reviews and multidisciplinary coordination.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced HVAC Design Engineer with strong expertise in Data Center HVAC Systems, Chilled Water Systems, Secondary Fluid Network (SFN) Piping, and Precision Cooling Solutions. The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience in HVAC system design, engineering calculations, BIM coordination, technical documentation, and project execution support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop HVAC systems for data center and industrial projects, including chilled water systems, SFN piping, precision cooling, CRAH/CRAC units, ventilation, exhaust and pressurization systems.
• Perform HVAC engineering calculations, including cooling load, pipe sizing, pressure drop and pump sizing calculations.
• Review Revit MEP models, HVAC layouts, sections, schematics, P&IDs and fabrication drawings.
• Conduct BIM coordination and clash detection to ensure proper routing of HVAC services.
• Prepare and review BOQs, technical specifications, engineering drawings, technical submittals and as‑built documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and vendors for design reviews and technical approvals.
• Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISHRAE, NBC, ASME and project‑specific standards.
• Support procurement, vendor technical evaluations, site installation, construction and commissioning activities.

Must‑Have Skills

• Hands‑on experience in HVAC design for Data Center or Industrial Projects.
