Job summary

Sightspectrum in Chennai is seeking an experienced CAD engineer to design 3D models of plastic injection molded parts using Catia V5. You will work on HVAC part design, applying constrained sketches, Boolean operations, DFA/DFM, and GD&T to ensure manufacturability.

Data managed in PLM and you will prepare technical proposals and detailed drawings. The role requires attention to tolerance stackups, self-checks for CAD quality, and on-time delivery within budget.

Qualifications

• Proficient in 3D CAD design for plastic injection molded parts.
• Experience with Catia V5 R24 and constrained sketches.
• Knowledge of GD&T, DFM and DFA for manufacturability.
• Experience with PLM data management and technical proposals.

Job description

Mandatory :

• 3D CAD design for plastic Injection molded parts using Catia V5 R24
  Part design using constrained Sketches and Boolean operation with Inner / outer methodology
  Working in Product structure using multi-Skeleton methodology
  Detailed HVAC Part design as per the design standards, following Design for manufacturing
  (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) requirements
  Preparation of technical proposal and presentation
  Detailed drawings creation for HVAC parts and assembly with GD&T considering Manufacturing
  process and measurement techniques
  Tolerance stackup analysis
  Self-check designs to rectify CAD quality , DFM and DFA issues
  Vehicle Packaging investigations and concept modification
  Data management in PLM
  Ensure task compilation within budget and on time
