Job summary

Cendyn in Hyderabad is seeking an HTML Specialist with strong frontend and email template development skills to support implementation and maintenance of Cendyn’s Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, Loyalty CMS and other Event Management software products.

You will work with Project Managers and technical teams to build responsive templates using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, while leveraging SmartyPHP and WordPress. The role is hybrid from the Hyderabad office.

Qualifications

Job Purpose

We are looking for an HTML Specialist with strong frontend development and email template development skills to support the implementation delivering high quality projects, configuration, and maintenance of Cendyn’s Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, Loyalty CMS and other Event Management Software products.

Job Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with HTML5, CSS4, JavaScript, SmartyPHP, and Content Management Systems such as WordPress. The role involves developing, maintaining, and enhancing custom in‑house CMS solutions while ensuring that web interfaces and email templates are responsive, accessible, user‑friendly, and aligned with quality standards.

Knowledge of Email Template development, Content Management System(CMS) is preferred and will be considered an added advantage. However, candidates without PHP experience are also encouraged to apply if they possess strong frontend development skills and are willing to learn.

The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers, Technical Consultants, implementation teams, internal subject‑matter experts, and customers to deliver projects accurately and on schedule.

Marketing Cloud – Email Template Development

• Develop, test, and troubleshoot responsive email templates using HTML, CSS ensuring compatibility across major email clients and devices.
• Migrate email templates from existing platforms to another preserving design, functionality, personalizations and brand standards.
• Support email production activities, including template configuration, dynamic content, Personalisation tags update, rendering validation, and spam‑related troubleshooting.
• Perform quality assurance to ensure migrated and newly developed templates meet functional, visual, and deliverability requirements.

Sales Cloud – Static Website Development

• Build and maintain responsive static websites and customer‑facing pages for Catering, Proposals, and other Sales Cloud solutions.
• Convert approved designs and business requirements into high‑quality web pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Ensure websites are responsive, user‑friendly, visually accurate, and compatible across supported browsers and devices.
• Troubleshoot frontend issues and coordinate with Project Managers, Technical Consultants, and other stakeholders to deliver projects on schedule.

Loyalty CMS – Dynamic Website Development

• Develop, maintain, and enhance dynamic loyalty websites using Cendyn CMS, Cendyn APIs, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Smarty PHP.
• Build and configure dynamic pages, reusable components, templates, and content modules within Cendyn CMS.
• Integrate Cendyn APIs to retrieve and display loyalty related content and functionality.
• Work with structured API responses and troubleshoot data integration or frontend‑rendering issues.
• Perform functional, integration, responsive, and cross browser testing before production release.
• Use Azure Pipelines to support automated or controlled deployments across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
• Create and manage development, configuration, defect, and deployment tickets in Jira.
• Maintain technical documentation for CMS configurations, API integrations, template structures, deployment processes, and troubleshooting procedures.

Project and Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with Project Managers and cross‑functional teams to coordinate project schedules, dependencies, milestones, and deliverables.
• Maintain accurate project status updates and proactively communicate progress, risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Coordinate meetings, calls, and requests involving project‑related subject‑matter experts across the Cendyn product suite.
• Ensure customers receive all required product information, training, configuration reviews, and implementation support.
• Prioritize system enhancement requests and coordinate follow‑up with Cendyn’s and customers’ product management teams.
• Build trusted relationships with assigned customers and act as an implementation advisor.
• Manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Documentation and Team Development

• Create, maintain, and improve internal and customer facing documentation related to implementation processes, configurations, CMS functionality, and Cendyn products.
• Document technical solutions, configuration decisions, troubleshooting steps, and implementation best practices.
• Mentor, coach, and support team members within the Project Management Office on implementation‑related topics.
• Contribute to process improvements, knowledge‑sharing initiatives, and team development activities.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 - 3 Years of Experience on email template development.
• Practical knowledge of JavaScript and frontend development concepts.
• Experience with email template development and email production.
• Experience working with SmartyPHP or similar templating engines.
• Experience with Content Management Systems, preferably WordPress or a custom CMS.
• Ability to develop responsive and user‑friendly web interfaces.
• Ability to test and troubleshoot HTML and CSS rendering issues across browsers, devices, and email clients.
• Experience with development tools such as: Visual Studio Code Git/Github Azure DevOps Sublime Text Kiro, Claude, GPT, Microsoft Copilot
• Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or similar imageediting tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including: Excel Word Outlook Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good organizational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited direction and documentation.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines under pressure.
• Demonstrated experience in stakeholder and customer relationship management.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts supporting USA, EMEA, and APAC time zones.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model from the Hyderabad office.

Note: PHP or Smarty Template engine knowledge is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates with strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript, CMS, and frontend development experience are encouraged to apply.

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday from 12 PM to 9 PM IST. This will provide healthy overlap between India team and US team and supporting both to ensure adequate collaboration. This role will be working in Hybrid Mode and will require at least 2 days’ work from office at Hyderabad.
