Medicount Management Private Limited in Chennai is hiring an HR & Recruiting Specialist for US healthcare billing. You will own hiring and core HR operations for a growing team of US RCM professionals, from AR analysts to team leads, ensuring a compliant HR function that passes US client audits.

The role requires 3+ years in HR/recruiting, familiarity with US RCM terms, and hands-on use of AI in recruiting, Naukri/LinkedIn/Indeed, and Zoho HRMS.

HR & Recruiting Specialist US Healthcare Billing (Chennai)

We are not a BPO. Medicount is a US healthcare billing company. Our Chennai team is part of the billing company itself, not a vendor serving one. Technology does the repetitive work; our people do the thinking. We hire for ability, not titles, and we pay above what Indian RCM companies typically offer.

The role.

You will own hiring and core HR operations for a growing team of US revenue cycle management (RCM) specialists: AR analysts, billers, coders, QA auditors and team leads. You will find people who can think, not just dial; keep them through their first year; and run a clean, compliant HR function that stands up to US client audits. You report to the Director and work daily with our operations leaders in Chennai and Ohio.

Hours.

12:00 PM9:00 PM IST, Monday to Friday (a 5-day week), with a daily overlap with our US team in Ohio. Work from our Perungudi (OMR) office.

What you will do Recruiting

• Run full-cycle hiring for US RCM roles: AR analysts and callers, medical billers, payment posters, coders, QA auditors, team leads and managers.
• Work with hiring managers to define each role, write the job description and agree on hiring timelines.
• Source through Naukri, LinkedIn, Indeed, referrals, campus drives and walk-ins, and use AI and automation tools to screen faster and better.
• Conduct first-level HR interviews that test US RCM knowledge, written and spoken English, and fit for a thinking role.
• Coordinate skills assessments (AR, billing, Excel) and interviews with operations leaders.
• Negotiate offers within approved salary ranges and issue offer letters approved by an authorized manager.
• Stay with every candidate from offer to joining day, and track time-to-fill, offer-to-join and early attrition.
• Administer our recruitment agency engagements: confirm duplicate profiles within agreed timelines, collect background-verification certificates before joining, issue replacement notices on time and track agency invoices.

What you will do — HR operations

• Run pre-employment checks: background, education, employment and reference verification.
• Deliver onboarding: documentation, induction, HIPAA and data-security training sign-offs, and system access with IT.
• Maintain employee records, attendance, leave and shift rosters; provide monthly payroll inputs.
• Administer statutory compliance under India's Labour Codes (PF, ESI, gratuity, professional tax, Labour Welfare Fund), the Tamil Nadu Shops and Establishments Act and the POSH Act, with our payroll and compliance partner.
• Handle candidate and employee data in line with HIPAA training requirements and the DPDP Act.
• Track attrition, run exit interviews and propose retention actions; support probation confirmations and performance reviews.
• Keep HR policies, the employee handbook and HR SOPs current and audit-ready for US client reviews.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or PG Diploma in HR is a plus.
• 3+ years in HR and recruiting, including at least 2 years hiring for US healthcare RCM roles.
• A proven record of filling skilled RCM roles with low early attrition — we care about who stays, not how many you hired.
• Working knowledge of US RCM roles and terms (AR follow-up, denials, payment posting, coding, eligibility) so you can screen candidates credibly.
• Hands-on use of AI and automation tools in recruiting or HR, with at least one example of a step you automated.
• Hands-on use of Naukri, LinkedIn Recruiter or Indeed, and at least one ATS or HRMS (Zoho Recruit / Zoho People a plus).
• Working knowledge of Indian labour law and statutory compliance under the Labour Codes, the Tamil Nadu Shops and Establishments Act and the POSH Act.
• Excellent written and spoken English; confident with candidates, managers and US-based leadership.
• Strong Excel (pivot tables, lookups, trackers) and MS Office skills.
• Able to work 12:00 PM–9:00 PM IST from our Chennai office. Immediate joiners preferred (able to join within 15 days).

Good to have:

Hiring for EMS or ambulance billing teams; familiarity with HIPAA workforce requirements and SOC 2 / ISO 27001 HR controls; a network of RCM talent and campus contacts in Chennai.
