Key roles & responsibilities:
Manpower Planning & Hiring
- Forecast workforce requirements across sites in collaboration with operations.
- Oversee end-to-end hiring of associates, delivery personnel, pickers/packers, and support staff.
- Manage vendor coordination, onboarding, documentation, and induction processes.
Labor Compliance & Vendor Management
- Ensure compliance with CLRA, ESI/PF, Shops & Establishments Act, and site-specific regulatory norms.
- Conduct audits, maintain documentation, and coordinate with compliance/legal teams.
- Monitor third-party manpower vendor performance and cost efficiency.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Address day-to-day grievances, disciplinary cases, and workforce disputes.
- Conduct regular skip-level interactions and employee connect programs.
- Run site-level engagement initiatives: R&R, safety campaigns, festival celebrations, etc.
Attendance, Payroll & HR Operations
Validate and maintain attendance, shift rosters, overtime, and leave data.
- Provide accurate inputs to payroll and HR systems.
- Ensure documentation for onboarding, transfers, and exits is up to date and audit-ready.
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and guide a team of Field HR Associates or Executives (if applicable).
- Act as a business partner to site operation heads for all people-related matters.
- Escalate critical issues to regional HR leadership with risk assessments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline (Master’s in HR preferred)
- 5–8 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a field HR or plant HR setup
- Strong working knowledge of Indian labor laws and HR processes
- Experience managing contract labor and vendor‑led manpower models
