Job summary

Talentmodular seeks a strategic HR Lead for its growing technology and digital innovation operations in India. As the HR Lead, you’ll architect the HR strategy for India’s technology and engineering workforce, driving culture, compliance, performance, and organizational excellence. You’re not just leading HR; you’re enabling the growth engine behind a global tech evolution.

Strategic People Impact

Lead end-to-end HR for the India engineering hub, aligning local initiatives with Group HR while ensuring relevance, compliance, and impact for the Indian workforce.

Partner closely with the Chief People Officer and senior Engineering leaders, influencing decisions that shape org design, workforce planning, and talent development.

This is a hybrid strategic-operational role for HR leaders who thrive in high-growth, transformation-driven environments.

What You’ll Own
Business Partnering
  • Act as the primary HR business partner to India’s Technology & Engineering leaders.
  • Understand organizational priorities, workforce demands, and capability gaps.
  • Provide advisory on org design, workforce planning, and leadership development.
  • Localize global HR programs to ensure cultural resonance and India-specific relevance.
  • Champion a high-performance, inclusive, and collaborative engineering culture.
  • Use data-driven insights to influence leaders and improve people outcomes.
Talent Management
  • Lead India’s engineering hiring strategy in partnership with Talent Acquisition.
  • Oversee onboarding, development pathways, and succession planning for critical roles.
  • Drive performance management and talent review cycles.
  • Build talent development programs tailored to technical teams.
  • Strengthen career pathways, role clarity, and internal mobility for technical talent.
Employee Relations & Engagement
  • Act as the escalation point for employee concerns, grievances, and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies aligned with Indian labor laws (Shops & Establishments, Gratuity, PF/ESIC, POSH).
  • Design and execute engagement strategies tailored to engineering teams.
  • Build strong relationships with local statutory bodies and external advisors as required.
HR Operations & Compliance
  • Oversee end-to-end HR operations, including payroll, benefits, and statutory contributions (PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Gratuity).
  • Maintain accurate HRIS records and ensure seamless HR administration.
  • Ensure compliance with labor legislation, health & safety protocols, and governance standards.
  • Manage external vendors, auditors, and compliance partners.
Change & Transformation
  • Lead India’s adoption of global HR strategies, programs, and cultural initiatives.
  • Support organizational change, restructuring, or process modernization efforts.
  • Drive DEI, employee experience, and continuous improvement.
  • Influence leaders through data-driven insights and strong people expertise.
What You Bring To The Table
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including HR Business Partnering and HR Operations in India.
  • Strong track record supporting technology or engineering organizations (preferred).
Employee Relations Expertise
  • Ability to manage complex employee relations matters with discretion, judgment, and fairness.
  • Deep understanding of Indian employment laws and statutory requirements.
Strategic & Operational Balance
  • Experience leading both strategic initiatives and hands‑on HR operations.
Culture & Change Champion
  • Skilled in driving organizational change, fostering engagement, and building collaborative workplaces.
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and act as a trusted advisor.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced HR/OD qualification preferred.
Location & Schedule Flexibility

This role is based in India, supporting a global technology and engineering organization.

Proximity to a major engineering hub is preferred, but ultimate priority is leadership capability, people expertise, and strategic impact.
