Responsibilities

  • Assist end-to-end recruitment coordination: posting openings, screening, scheduling interviews, and candidate communication.
  • Support onboarding for employees and volunteers, including documentation and orientation logistics.
  • Maintain and update employee records, HR databases, and personnel files with confidentiality.
  • Track attendance, leaves, and timesheets; liaise with staff and school coordinators as needed.
  • Assist payroll inputs by compiling attendance, leave, and related data for HR/finance.
  • Coordinate employee engagement activities and internal communications.
  • Support compliance documentation (PF, ESI, labour law filings) under guidance.
  • Respond to routine HR policy queries and benefits information.
  • Assist with exit formalities including documentation and interviews.
  • Maintain HR trackers and MIS reports.

Job Title: HR Coordinator

Employment Type: Full-Time

Role Summary: The HR Coordinator will support the day-to-day HR operations of the Foundation, including recruitment coordination, onboarding, employee records management, attendance and leave tracking, and general administrative support to the HR team. This is a junior-level, hands-on role suited to someone early in their HR career who is organized, empathetic, and eager to learn in a mission-driven, fast-paced nonprofit environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in end-to-end recruitment coordination: posting job openings, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  • Support the onboarding process for new employees and volunteers/teaching staff, including documentation, induction scheduling, and orientation logistics.
  • Maintain and update employee records, HR databases, and personnel files (physical and digital), ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Track attendance, leave balances, and timesheets; follow up with staff/school coordinators as needed.
  • Assist with payroll inputs by compiling attendance, leave, and other relevant data for the finance/HR team.
  • Help coordinate employee engagement activities, training sessions, and internal communications.
  • Support statutory compliance documentation (PF, ESI, labour law filings) under guidance of senior HR staff.
  • Respond to routine employee queries related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Support exit formalities including documentation and exit interviews.
  • Maintain HR trackers, MIS reports, and dashboards as required.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR and Operations team.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree/Masters in Human Resources, Business Administration or any related field.
  • Minimum 1 or 2 years of experience in HR, administration, or a related function (freshers with strong organizational skills are welcome to apply).
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfort with Google Workspace tools.
