Plummer Youth Promise is seeking a compassionate, organized Housing Coordinator to help young adults secure and maintain safe, stable housing as they transition toward independence. The role combines direct support, advocacy, case coordination, and community networking to promote long-term housing stability and personal growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant field.
  • Experience with youth or housing programs preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid Massachusetts driver’s license required.
  • Ability to transport youth and travel within the community as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Support young adults in identifying and securing safe, stable housing.
  • Maintain a caseload of young adults and conduct regular apartment visits.
  • Assist with apartment searches, scheduling showings, and communicating with landlords, property managers, and realtors.
  • Educate young adults on housing applications, tenant rights, budgeting, lease responsibilities, and independent living skills.
  • Assist with move-ins, move-outs, apartment setup, and housing transitions.
  • Complete housing safety inspections and maintain housing-related documentation.
  • Advocate for young adults throughout the housing process.
  • Build and maintain relationships with landlords, housing authorities, voucher programs, and community partners.
  • Participate in treatment planning, staff meetings, supervision, and team collaboration.
  • Provide transportation support as needed.
  • Participate in rotating emergency on-call coverage.
  • Assist with simple home maintenance tasks and minor apartment repairs as needed to support safe and stable living environments.

Plummer Youth Promise is seeking a compassionate, organized, and proactive Housing Coordinator to support young adults in securing and maintaining safe, stable housing as they transition toward independence.

The Housing Coordinator plays a critical role in helping young adults navigate the housing search process, build independent living skills, and maintain successful tenancies. This position combines direct support, advocacy, case coordination, and community networking to help young adults achieve long‑term housing stability and personal growth.

The anticipated hiring range for this position is $55,325–$62,550 annually ($26.60–$30.07 per hour), based on qualifications and experience. This is a non‑exempt position and is eligible for overtime pay.

Key Responsibilities
