Job summary

Trine University in Angola, IN is seeking full-time housekeepers for 1st and 3rd shifts to clean and maintain university buildings and assist with setting up summer camps on campus. SummaryTrine University is seeking full-time 1st and 3rd shift housekeepers who will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining University buildings and assisting with the setting up of summer camps held on the Trine University campus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, striping and waxing of floors
• Washing windows and window sills
• Select, measure and mix products for cleaning jobs
• Clean, sanitize and polish restrooms and their fixtures
• Clean and polish classroom and office furniture
• Remove waste and debris
• Replace light bulbs and clean fixtures
• Set up tables and chairs for special events
• Stock closets with cleaning and paper products
• Sweep and shovel walkways 10' from all entrances.

Education and/or Experience

A High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.

Job Requirements

Willingness to perform duties associated with commercial cleaning, including operating industrial-type cleaning equipment such as high-speed buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners; cleaning restrooms; moving heavy items such as tables and chairs and caring for all responsible equipment.
