Job summary

IQ Back Office is hiring a Team Lead for RTR GL Process to manage day-to-day activities, ensure accurate output, and drive performance through a productive team.

The role involves overseeing month-end close, bank reconciliation, journal entries, asset activities, financial reporting, and cash forecasting while maintaining a strong client relationship and acting as SPOC. Night shift availability and ERP experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate or postgraduate in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices and procedures.
• Experience with RTR, GL, bank reconciliations, fixed assets and intercompany processes.
• 8+ years of experience in FAO or related business.
• Experience with ERP/Accounting systems.
• At least 2 years of leadership experience in a similar industry.
• Willingness to work night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily and month-end close tasks including journal posts and financial reporting.
• Oversee and support bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Approve journal entries and classifications for monthly closes.
• Enhance controls over R2R processes and reporting.
• Deliver agreed scope of work and supervise tasks.
• Maintain client relationship and serve as SPOC.
• Work extended hours during quarter and month-ends.
• Train new team members.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Manages the day-to-day activities of the team ensuring optimal use of resources, accurate output, and performance by productive team members. Communicates with clients to resolve day-to-day issues, and ensures that the team is appropriately and promptly informed on changes that impact the processing of transactions and provision of service. Acts as an SME about process knowledge and ownership.

Role & responsibilities:

• Oversee daily and month-end close tasks (various closing activities, for example: opening a new accounting period, uploading payroll data into GL, closing sub-ledgers, preparing and posting journal entries, reviewing P&L accounts, fixed asset activities, closing GL, financial reporting, as well as cash forecasting, balance sheet account reconciliation, and overseeing inter-company processes)
• Oversee and support the team on reconciliation of bank accounts to ensure that transactions are recorded accurately
• Approve journal entries and accounting classifications as needed to complete the financial close each month and report the cash accurately
• Executing and enhancing controls over R2R processes (reconciliations & financial reporting)
• Responsibility for delivering the agreed-upon scope of work and performing and supervising tasks
• Working closely with the client and maintaining a good working relationship
• Being the single point of contact (SPOC) for the client delivery
• Work on stringent deadlines and extended hours during quarter and month-ends
• Training new team members

Preferred candidate profile:

• Any graduate or post-graduate in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or related courses
• Excellent understanding of Accounting principles, practices, and procedures
• Sound knowledge of RTR, GL, Bank Reconciliation, Fixed Asset, Intercompany processes with transition and implementation experience as an added advantage
• Minimum 8+ years experience in an FAO or related business
• Experience in ERP/Accounting systems
• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a similar industry
• Candidate should be willing to work in night shift
