Qualifications

• 4–8 years of backend experience in Python with FastAPI as a must.

• Experience with API security, authentication and authorization (JWT/OAuth).

• Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines and basic cloud concepts (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Version control using Git.

We are seeking an experienced Python FastAPI Developer with strong backend development expertise to design, build, and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs and microservices. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with the FastAPI framework, a solid understanding of scalable backend architectures, and the ability to work in agile development environments.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using FastAPI
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable Python code following best practices
• Develop backend services with high availability, performance, and scalability
• Integrate APIs with databases, third-party services, and front-end applications
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices (JWT, OAuth, etc.)
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, and DevOps teams
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning and stand-ups
• Write and maintain API documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI)

Required Skills & Experience

• 4 to 8 years of overall backend development experience in Python
• Mandatory: Strong hands‑on experience with FastAPI framework
• Proficient in Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django (FastAPI preferred)
• Experience in building RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)
• Experience with API security, authentication, and authorization
• Familiarity with asynchronous programming (async/await)
• Experience with ORMs like SQL Alchemy
• Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and basic cloud concepts (AWS/Azure/GCP is a plus)
• Understanding of version control systems (Git)

Good to Have

• Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Knowledge of Redis or caching mechanisms
• Exposure to Kubernetes
• Experience in high-volume or enterprise-grade applications

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
