Job summary

Saraca Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer with 10+ years of experience in automation. The role focuses on Cypress/Playwright automation, web and cloud-native testing, and collaboration with MedTech/Healthcare product teams.

The candidate will own testing strategy, develop automation frameworks, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality in complex MedTech software systems.

Qualifications

• B.E/BTech in CS, IT, EC engineering.
• 9+ years SDET experience, including 3+ years in test automation for customer-facing products.
• Web application testing experience including Cloud native applications.
• Experience with Cypress and Playwright for automation.
• Experience with API testing using Postman or SoapUI.
• Familiar with CI/CD and version control tools like Git.
• Ability to work in a team and independently; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop, run, and maintain automation test suites.
• Conduct test protocols and code reviews.
• Leverage AI to accelerate test case creation and automation scripts.
• Support planning of delivery time, code quality, and process efficiency.
• Guide the squad to implement test protocols and automate tests.
• Create engineering practices and maintain platform configuration management.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Senior Ent Software Test Engineer in the Enabling Technologies R&D Software Organization developing software supporting Medtronic Navigation and Imaging systems.The individual will operate in all phases and contribute to all activities of the software development process. Candidates must be willing to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking, team environment.

A Day in the Life

• Develop, run, and maintain suite(s) of automation tests
• Conduct Test protocols and code review
• Good knowledge and experience to leverage AI for accelerating Test case creation and automation Scripts
• Support in planning delivery time, code quality, and process efficiency improvement projects
• Guide the team in resolving bottlenecks in testing and deployment processes and design automation solutions
• Maintain and grow knowledge of platform configuration management, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Work under general direction and collaboratively with internal and external partners.
• Continuously keep updated with latest technology trends and channel that learning to Medtronic Product development

Must Have

Minimum Qualification

B.E/BTech.in CS, IT, EC Engineering

9+years of SDET experience (or ME/MTech), including3+ years of experience in (high/low-level) customer-facing products test automation

• Experience in Web application testing including Cloud native applications
• Good experience Test Automation frameworks – Cypress & Playwright.
• Developing framework and tools to identify functional and non-functional (latency, performance) regressions
• Performance testing, load testing,
• Design/development of automated test cases
• Analyze results of automated regression suites and distill those results into bug tickets as needed
• Experience with API testingusing Postman or Soap UI
• Strong demonstrated ability to work directly with technical leads and other engineers
• Demonstrate a creative and innovation-driven ability to articulate engineering quality paradigms and patterns
• Aware of CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment Automation
• Experience with GIT and other version control tools
• Ability to manage own learning and contribute to functional knowledge building
• Ability to work both independently and help other team members

Principal Working Relationship

• Reports to the Engineering Manager. Closely work with Tech lead
• Work with Product Manager/Owner, Deveopers, DevOps engneers to align the testing roadmap with strengths and opportunities within the existing architecture
• Support in defining squad to draft quarterly OKRs and engineering KPIsStrong oral and written communication skills

• Experience in Digital Health application development
