Webzeee Web Media Services is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee daily civil construction activities at the Manamadurai project site, with accommodation provided as applicable. The role involves coordinating workers and contractors, monitoring progress, ensuring work follows drawings and specifications, and maintaining site safety and records.

The ideal candidate has 4–10 years of civil construction or site supervision experience, with Diploma/ITI in Civil Engineering or equivalent; freshers

• Freshers with relevant technical qualifications and practical knowledge may apply.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor day-to-day construction activities at the site.
• Allocate daily tasks to workers and labour teams and monitor productivity.
• Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings and instructions from the Site Engineer or Project Manager.
• Track daily progress and report delays, issues, or resource requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and workers to ensure smooth site operations.
• Monitor attendance and deployment of site workers.
• Ensure adequate manpower, tools, and equipment are available for assigned work.
• Coordinate with Site Engineer and other teams to plan and complete daily activities.
• Escalate site-related issues and requirements promptly.
• Check workmanship and compliance with specifications.
• Identify defects or deviations and report for correction.
• Maintain basic records of material receipt, issue, and usage.
• Ensure tools and equipment are stored safely.

Job Summary

The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily civil construction activities at the project site. The role involves coordinating workers and contractors, monitoring work progress, ensuring work is carried out according to approved drawings and instructions, and maintaining site quality, safety, material usage, and records.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Site Supervision

• Supervise and monitor day-to-day construction activities at the site.
• Allocate daily tasks to workers and labour teams and monitor their productivity.
• Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and instructions from the Site Engineer or Project Manager.
• Track daily progress and report delays, issues, or resource requirements to the concerned team.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and workers to ensure smooth site operations.

Manpower & Work Coordination

• Monitor attendance and deployment of site workers.
• Ensure adequate manpower, tools, and equipment are available for assigned work.
• Coordinate with the Site Engineer and other teams to plan and complete daily activities.
• Escalate site-related issues and requirements promptly.

Quality Monitoring

• Check ongoing work for workmanship and compliance with instructions and specifications.
• Identify defects or deviations and report them for timely correction.
• Check basic dimensions, levels, alignment, and measurements as instructed by the Site Engineer.
• Ensure completed work is ready for inspection.

Safety Compliance

• Ensure workers follow site safety rules and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain good housekeeping and safe working conditions at the site.
• Report unsafe practices, hazards, and incidents immediately to the concerned authority.

Material & Equipment Management

• Check materials received at the site against delivery details and report discrepancies.
• Monitor material usage and help prevent damage, loss, and wastage.
• Maintain basic records of material receipt, issue, and usage as required.
• Ensure tools and equipment are used properly and stored safely.

Site Records & Reporting

• Maintain daily work progress, manpower, material, and site activity records.
• Report completed work, pending activities, delays, and site requirements to the Site Engineer or Project Manager.
• Support measurement recording, inspections, and work completion documentation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ITI in Civil Engineering / Civil Construction or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Candidates with relevant practical site supervision experience will be considered.

Experience

• Preferred experience: 4-10 years in civil construction or site supervision.
• Freshers with relevant technical qualifications and practical knowledge may also apply.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of civil construction activities and site practices.
• Ability to understand construction drawings and site instructions.
