Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Windows/AD Administrator in Chennai, India. The role requires strong expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, and ADFS, with hands-on experience in Azure AD and hybrid identity management.

Ideal candidates will manage AD replication, FSMO roles, LDAP settings, and on-prem to Azure synchronization, ensuring secure identity and access across on-premises and cloud environments. Prior experience with O365 integration is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of working experience with Windows Server operating systems and Active Directory.
• Experience with ADFS technology and supporting it per project needs.
• Experience in managing and monitoring AD inter- and intrasite replication.
• Ensure proper assignment and configuration of FSMO roles.
• Knowledge of forest-wide LDAP settings configuration.
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP networking and related protocols (DNS, ICMP, SMB, SSL/TLS).
• Experience in Identity & Access Management with Azure AD, Azure Subscription, Proxy, AD Connect, PTA.
• Resolve issues related to On-Prem to Azure synchronization.
• Resolve Azure AD issues related to Office 365 (O365).
• Knowledge on app onboarding & registration; AD setup and recovery of deleted objects.
• Active Directory replication monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Implementing new site, subnet modifications, Sites & Links.

Job description
