Job summary

Straive in Chennai is seeking an Accessibility Specialist to perform manual and automated WCAG audits, validate compliance, and guide remediation for digital learning products and e-books.

The role requires hands-on testing with NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and expertise in HTML5, XML, EPUB, and ARIA. You will work with development and content teams to improve accessibility across platforms.

Strong communication skills and IAAP credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in digital accessibility testing and remediation.
• Hands-on with NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, HTML5, XML, EPUB, and WAI-ARIA.
• Strong understanding of e-book structures (callouts, endnotes, complex tables).
• Excellent technical communication skills.
• Preferred IAAP credentials (WAS, CPACC).

Responsibilities

• Audit web platforms, online assessments, and e-books against WCAG 2.1/2.2 (Level A & AA).
• Review automated reports (Habitat, Magic Audit) to filter out false positives.
• Verify HTML5/XML semantic structures, heading hierarchies, alt text, and table summaries.
