Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Bangalore is seeking a Highways Engineer to design and check highway project elements within a multi-disciplinary team. The role offers offshore project exposure and international experience with a world-class consultancy.

The candidate should have 3–10 years in highways consultancy, experience with TAC standards and common design tools (Open Roads, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation), and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Qualified Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed College.
• Have 3–10 years of experience in consultancy focused on highways and related features in Canada region.
• Knowledge of TAC design standards for Roads.
• Experienced user of Open Roads Design, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation.
• Experience implementing quality standards and MS Office.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Evidence of delivering highway projects.
• Masters degree in a relevant discipline.
• Expert in Open Road design software and AutoCAD/MicroStation for Highway schemes.
• Experience in grade separated junctions design.
• Experience in pipe drainage network design.
• Working knowledge of Canada highway design standards.

Responsibilities

Your Role

• You will be an Engineer within the Highways team carrying out the design and checking of a range of elements associated with highway projects.


• Project based supervision of designers and drafting staff


• Maintaining technical quality standards and mentoring junior designers


• Delivering projects to time and budget


• Liaising with Canada based customers in a responsive and client focused manner

The successful candidate will need to

• Be highly self-motivated and ambitious


• Have a track record of technical achievement and client satisfaction within the highways and bridges industry


• Be able to work with minimal supervision


• Have the ability to adapt to different cultures and working environments to build rapport with customers


• Be able to build excellent working relationships with colleagues and clients


• Have the experience of using written and spoken English within a business environment

The position is to be based in Bangalore.

About You

• Qualified Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed College


• Have relevant experience in the region of around 3 to 10 years in consultancy business working on highways and related features in Canada Region.


• Knowledge and Experience of applying TAC standards in Roads Design.


• Experienced user of Open Roads Design, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation


• Experience implementing quality standards and procedures


• A very good knowledge of working in all applications of MS Office.


• Good verbal and written communication skills.


• Evidence of having successfully delivered highway projects


• Holds a Masters Degree in a relevant discipline


• Expert in the use of Open Road design software and AutoCAD/MicroStation for Highway schemes


• Experience of the design of grade separated junctions


• Experience of the design of pipe drainage networks


• Working knowledge of Canada highway design standards
