Job summary

DEIC-L&T Precision Engineering & Systems IC in Coimbatore invites an experienced Lead Test Engineer to own end-to-end testing, validation and certification of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), across cell, module and system levels.

You will define test strategies, establish labs for electrical, thermal and safety testing, and drive IEC/UL/BIS compliance to ensure performance and safety.

Requires 12–18 years in BESS/Battery/EV testing with a BE degree and hands-on lab leadership.

Qualifications

• BE degree required with 12–18 years of experience in testing/validation.
• Extensive experience with BESS/Battery/EV/power electronics testing.
• Experience in system-level validation and certification.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement Test Strategy & Validation Plans (cell/module/pack/system).
• Establish and manage testing facilities and labs (electrical, thermal, safety).
• Lead system-level validation for Battery, BMS, PCS, EMS and container integration.
• Ensure IEC/UL/BIS standards compliance and certification requirements.
• Drive performance, reliability and safety testing; analyze data and sign off.
• Coordinate with R&D, Quality and Manufacturing for design/process improvements.
