Adani Group, through Adani Solar, is seeking a Head Ingot & Wafer Technology in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The role leads strategic development and optimization of ingot and wafer manufacturing processes, including Czochralski and float-zone methods, and guides departmental leadership.

This position oversees budgets, maintains quality control, and drives continuous innovation across the team. You will manage resources, deliver high‑level technical reporting, and align projects with company objectives

Qualifications

• B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (MTech preferred).
• 10–15 years of ingot/wafer tech experience with leadership in process development and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead optimization of ingot and wafer manufacturing processes using Czochralski and float-zone methods.
• Provide direction to the ingot and wafer technology team and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Establish and enforce quality control measures for purity and integrity of products; oversee PFMEA implementation.
• Stay updated on innovations in ingot and wafer technology and integrate advancements.
• Develop business plans and budgets for projects and allocate resources effectively.
• Deliver high-level technical presentations and prepare reports for regulatory approvals and quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.
• Lead and mentor the Ingot & Wafer technology team and foster a culture of innovation.
• Oversee digital transformation and data-driven decision making across the division.

Job Purpose:The Head Ingot & Wafer Technology leads strategic development and optimization of ingot and wafer manufacturing processes, including advanced techniques like Czochralski and float-zone methods. This role involves overseeing departmental leadership, ensuring stringent quality control, and integrating technological advancements. The Head manages resources, budgets, and delivers high-level technical reporting, driving continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

Quality Control and Assurance:

• Stay updated on innovations in ingot and wafer technology and integrate advancements to maintain competitiveness and drive innovation.

Budget and Resource Management:

• Develop business plans and budgets for projects, ensuring effective resource allocation to complete initiatives on time and within budget.

Technical Reporting and Documentation:

• Deliver high-level technical presentations and oversee the preparation of reports to support regulatory approvals and quality standards.

Process Innovation and Improvement:

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency, implementing best practices and new methodologies in manufacturing processes.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Lead and mentor the Ingot & Wafer technology team, fostering a culture of innovation and providing training to keep the team updated on advancements.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

• B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. MTech is preferred.
