Job summary

Elanco India seeks a Technical Manager for the Poultry segment to bridge veterinary science and commercial execution. You will provide high-level technical guidance to key accounts, drive product advocacy, and ensure our poultry portfolio delivers measurable value.

You will develop a technical roadmap aligned with ISA business goals, act as the main technical liaison for key accounts, lead trainings for sales and marketing, and oversee field trials to validate performance under local conditions.

Qualifications

• BVSc & AH (Bachelor of Veterinary Science) or equivalent.
• 12+ years in Animal Health, with 5+ years in senior technical/consultative poultry role.
• Strong knowledge of poultry physiology and immunology; excellent stakeholder communication.

• Develop and execute the technical roadmap for the poultry segment in India and South Asia.
• Act as primary technical liaison for high-priority accounts with consultative support and farm-level interventions.
• Lead technical training for sales/marketing to communicate poultry value propositions.

Job description

As the Technical Manager for the Poultry segment, you will serve as the strategic bridge between veterinary science and commercial execution for Elanco India. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-level technical expertise to key accounts, driving product advocacy, and ensuring our poultry portfolio delivers measurable value to customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the technical roadmap for the poultry segment in alignment with India and South Asia (ISA) business goals.
• Act as the primary technical liaison for high-priority accounts, providing bespoke consultative services, diagnostic support, and farm-level interventions.
• Lead technical training for sales and marketing teams to ensure the commercial organization effectively communicates the value proposition of poultry solutions.
• Design and oversee local field trials and Proof of Concept studies to validate product performance under local environmental and management conditions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with industry Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), veterinary universities, and regulatory bodies to enhance scientific reputation.

Required Qualifications

• Education: BVSc & AH (Bachelor of Veterinary Science) or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience in the animal health industry, including 5 years in a senior technical or consultative role within the poultry sector.
• Expert knowledge of poultry physiology and immunology; exceptional communication and influence skills for high-level stakeholder engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

• MVSc in Poultry Science, Pathology, or Medicine.
• Proven experience working with Medicated Feed Additives (MFAs) and vaccines.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex biological data into actionable business insights and ROI models.
• Experience conducting comprehensive farm and hatchery audits to identify performance issues.
• Track record of navigating market volatility and emerging disease threats.
