  • Maintain laboratory instruments, calibration schedules, preventive maintenance, reference standards and equipment qualification records.
  • Implement documented SOPs, GLP, good documentation practices, data integrity controls and appropriate sample traceability.
  • Support ISO/QMS requirements, internal and external audits, CAPA tracking and continual improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure safe chemical handling, SDS compliance, laboratory housekeeping and proper management of testing waste.
  • Track quality KPIs such as testing turnaround time, OOS frequency, rejection rates, complaint closure and repeat deviations.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 10–15 years of relevant QC experience in specialty chemicals, polymers or chemical manufacturing, including laboratory/team management.
  • M.Sc. Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry, B.Sc. Chemistry with strong relevant experience, or B.E./B.Tech. Chemical Engineering; postgraduate qualifications preferred.

Core Competencies
  • Sound analytical judgment, specification control, method validation/verification and investigation of nonconformities.
  • Practical understanding of GLP, QMS, COAs, SOPs, CAPA, laboratory safety and audit readiness.
  • Strong leadership, prioritization, communication and cross-functional problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable using laboratory records, ERP/LIMS where available, Excel and quality performance reports.

Success Measures
  • Reliable batch release, reduced quality deviations and improved testing turnaround time.
  • Strong audit readiness, disciplined documentation, effective CAPA closure and consistent customer quality.

Candidate Profile

A proactive, detail-oriented and results-driven technical leader with strong ownership, a hands-on approach and the ability to build effective collaboration across laboratory, manufacturing and customer-facing functions.
