Job summary

Quality HR India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a QC Head to lead the chemical QC function from Mundra - Kutch.

The role demands 15-18 years of experience in QC leadership within a chemical MNC and requires MSc in Chemistry. You will manage the lab team, ensure calibration, maintenance, ERP approvals, and compliance with SOPs. The ideal candidate will drive quality improvements, ensure ISO standards, and deliver timely test results while coordinating with internal customers and departments.

Qualifications

• MSc in Chemistry is required.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
• 15–18 years in QC leadership in chemical industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and QA management.

Responsibilities

• Review, update & implement total quality control system.
• Coordinate with internal customers and ensure time-bound delivery of test findings.
• Supervise calibration and maintenance of QC lab equipment and spare parts.
• Oversee lab chemist and lab assistant activities.
• Approve all product confirmations in ERP.
• Refer NC products to QA and raise NCR as needed.
• Plan and drive routine quality improvements and corrective actions.
• Ensure 100% chemical compliant checks against standards.
• Coordinate testing of raw materials and packaging with MM department as per QP.
• Develop and appraise subordinates; train QA team on SOPs.
• Define and implement standard test methods and SOPs for QC of products, materials, and PM.
• Maintain and release daily quality reports and related presentations.
• Prepare departmental budget and control expenses.
• Respond to quality-related queries and perform trend analyses.

Job description

Position: QC Head

Location: Mundra - Kutch

Responsibilities:

• To review, update & implement total quality control system.
• Co-ordination with internal customer & time bound delivery of test finding.
• To supervise proper preventive/scheduled maintenance &calibration of all the equipments in the QC laboratories as well as procuring their spare parts.
• To oversee the lab chemist and lab assistant in their work.
• Giving approval of all confirming products in ERP
• Refer NC products to QA and unit Head. Raise NCR accordingly
• To plan and identifies routine control improvement areas and ensures corrective action.
• Ensures 100% chemical compliance to standards through scheduled checks and corrective actions.
• Ensure time bound testing raw material and packaging with material management department as per QP
• Responsible for skills development and appraisals of subordinates.
• Trains the quality team to comply with SOP.
• To define and implement all quality test of R
• To plan and implement standardize test methods & follow standard operating procedure (SOP) for the quality control of all existing & upcoming product, raw material and PM at Quality Lab.
• Maintain & release of daily quality report, SRM & MRM presentation.
• Making Departmental Budget creation & control on expenses as per budget.
• Respond to all Quality related queries.
• Trend charts / Statistical analysis of testing results for increase or reduce testing with the help of QA
• Drives Quality to be built in product
