Qualifications

15–20 years of experience in PMO, Program Management, Portfolio Management, Enterprise Transformation, or Technology Governance.
At least 5 years of experience leading Enterprise PMO, Portfolio Management, or Transformation functions.
Proven experience establishing PMO governance, demand management, portfolio prioritization, delivery assurance, and capacity planning frameworks.
Hands-on experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Tableau/Power BI, portfolio reporting, workflow automation, and dashboarding.
Strong understanding of data integrations, APIs, portfolio analytics, and executive reporting.

Responsibilities

Drive portfolio prioritization, investment governance, strategic roadmaps, and benefits realization.

We are looking for an experienced Head – Project & Portfolio Management to lead the Enterprise PMO and Project Portfolio Management (PPM) function. The role will be responsible for ensuring technology investments are aligned with business strategy, effectively prioritized, efficiently governed, and successfully delivered.

The ideal candidate will transform the PMO into a modern, data-driven function by leveraging enterprise platforms such as Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Confluence/SharePoint, Tableau, and Power BI to enable portfolio intelligence, automated reporting, capacity planning, roadmap visibility, financial governance, delivery assurance, and executive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Governance & Strategy

Establish and lead the Enterprise PMO operating model, governance framework, policies, standards, and reporting mechanisms.
Drive portfolio prioritization, investment governance, strategic roadmaps, and benefits realization.
Define and monitor portfolio KPIs, delivery metrics, portfolio health, and business value realization.
Provide leadership with actionable insights to support strategic investment and prioritization decisions.

Demand, Capacity & Delivery Management

Establish enterprise-wide demand intake, evaluation, and prioritization processes.
Develop capacity planning, workforce forecasting, resource allocation, and utilization management frameworks.
Oversee strategic programs and transformation initiatives to ensure delivery within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Identify and address delivery bottlenecks, resource constraints, dependencies, and capability gaps.
Ensure effective portfolio balancing across competing business and technology priorities.

PMO Automation & Portfolio Intelligence

Build and continuously enhance an automated PMO ecosystem using Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Tableau, Power BI, and related enterprise platforms.
Develop real-time dashboards covering portfolio status, delivery health, capacity, utilization, roadmaps, financials, risks, dependencies, and benefits realization.
Drive integration and data consolidation across enterprise tools through APIs, automation, scripts, and reporting solutions.
Establish automated alerts and proactive monitoring for schedule delays, budget variances, capacity constraints, delivery risks, and KPI breaches.

Financial Governance & Executive Reporting

Govern portfolio budgets, investment approvals, business cases, financial forecasts, and value realization.
Partner with Finance and business leaders to monitor investments, ROI, and expected benefits.
Prepare concise executive reports highlighting portfolio performance, key risks, mitigation actions, decisions required, and strategic recommendations.

Stakeholder Management & Leadership

Collaborate with Business, Technology, Risk, Finance, and Executive Leadership teams to ensure strategic alignment.
Lead steering committees, governance forums, portfolio reviews, and executive meetings.
Build and develop a high-performing PMO and Portfolio Management team.
Establish a culture of accountability, transparency, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making.

Desired Profile

Education

BE / BTech / MCA / MTech / MBA or equivalent qualification.

Experience

15–20 years of experience in PMO, Program Management, Portfolio Management, Enterprise Transformation, or Technology Governance.
At least 5 years of experience leading Enterprise PMO, Portfolio Management, or Transformation functions.
Proven experience establishing PMO governance, demand management, portfolio prioritization, delivery assurance, and capacity planning frameworks.
Strong experience managing large-scale technology and business transformation portfolios.
Hands-on experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Tableau/Power BI, portfolio reporting, workflow automation, and dashboarding.
Strong understanding of data integrations, APIs, portfolio analytics, and executive reporting.
Experience working within Agile and technology delivery environments.
Experience in financial services, banking, retail lending, or other regulated industries is preferred.
