Job summary

SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA in Bengaluru seeks a senior technology leader with 18+ years of experience leading large-scale technical teams. You will drive modernization, cloud migration, platform engineering, and global delivery while aligning with business objectives and budgets.

You will build high-performing teams, manage budgets and stakeholder relationships across Paris, India and other regions, and represent the tech strategy in reviews with CDS head and senior management.

• Provide technical leadership across applications developed using Java.
• Drive modernization initiatives, API-first architecture, and cloud-native solutions.
• Monitor delivery risks, capacity planning, and people utilization.
• Build, mentor, and retain high-performing engineering teams.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Identify skill gaps and develop capability-building initiatives.
• Partner with business leaders, product teams, and senior management to prioritize initiatives.
• Present technology strategies, delivery updates, and performance metrics to CDS head.
• Stakeholder management with local business, RO and Paris.
• Manage vendor and partner relationships.
• Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and organizational policies.
• Drive risk management, audit readiness, and production stability initiatives.

Financial & Organizational Management

• Own budgeting, financial planning, vendor management, and resource optimization.
• Drive productivity, workforce planning, capacity forecasting, and operational efficiency.
• Establish succession planning and leadership development programs.
• Build a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Innovation & Industry Leadership

• Represent the organization in innovation forums, architecture councils, and strategic leadership discussions.
• Brought industry best practices, emerging technologies, and modern engineering standards into the organization.
• Contribute to organizational thought leadership and business line value propositions.

Experience

• 18+ years leading large-scale technical teams
• Proven track record managing global delivery teams of 80+ professionals.
• Experience managing multi-million-dollar portfolios, budgets, and strategic transformation programs.
• Demonstrated success in modernization, cloud migration, and platform engineering initiatives.
• Strong executive stakeholder management experience across global business functions.

Profile required

• Manage budgeting, workforce, innovation and organizational transformation.
• Manage large delivery teams and stakeholders across the globe based on the OKRs of the business lines.
• Define and implement strategic (long term) framework of the team to be in-line with organization objectives and vision.
• Productize service offering and negotiate with stakeholders for transition of projects/processes.
• Contribute to innovation forums of the organization and bring-in industry standards.
• Ensure viable succession pipeline.
