Job summary

Agrawal Metal Works Private Limited is seeking a senior QA leader with extensive experience in a metal manufacturing environment, specifically copper and copper alloy flat-rolled products. The role focuses on driving quality strategy, leading QA/QC teams, and ensuring robust QMS alignment with ISO/IATF standards.

The candidate will oversee audits, CAPA, and continuous improvement across processes, partnering with production and engineering to uphold top-quality outputs and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 20 years of experience in a metal manufacturing environment, preferably in non-ferrous (copper & copper alloys) flat-rolled products.
• Proven track record in leading quality assurance teams and implementing robust Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Hands-on experience in metallurgical processes for flat rolled products.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the QA and QC teams to ensure high standards of performance and compliance.
• Create and implement best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance.
• Drive a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement within the QA department.
• Provide leadership and direction to the entire organization regarding Quality Assurance issues and certifications.
• Oversee implementation, maintenance, internal & external audits and continual improvement of the QMS in alignment with ISO/IATF or relevant standards.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulatory norms, and statutory obligations (including environment, health & safety). Drive initiatives for process capability enhancement and defect prevention.
• Benchmark best practices in quality systems and implement them within the organization. Drive accreditation initiatives relevant to the manufacturing industry (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, etc.).
• Establish quality KPIs and initiate continuous improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA and QC teams, mentoring and developing capabilities to meet quality targets.
• Oversee QMS implementation, internal and external audits, and continual improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Production, Planning, and Engineering to resolve quality issues and enhance process efficiency.
• Manage incoming raw material quality and supplier audits to ensure compliance and performance.
• Interface with customers to address quality concerns and provide technical support, delivering quality performance reports to management.

Job description

Proven track record in leading quality assurance teams and implementing robust Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Hands-on experience in metallurgical processes for flat rolled products.

Lead, mentor, and develop the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) teams to ensure high standards of performance and compliance.

Create and implement best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance.

Drive a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement within the QA department.

Provide leadership and direction to the entire organization regarding Quality Assurance issues and certifications.

Quality Management & Systems

Oversee implementation, maintenance, internal & external audits and continual improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO/IATF or relevant standards.

Ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulatory norms, and statutory obligations (including environment, health & safety). Drive initiatives for process capability enhancement and defect prevention.

Process & Product Quality

Monitor and control process parameters for copper and copper alloy foils/coils to ensure conformance to specifications.

Prepare and implement Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) for Copper and copper alloy flat rolled products in coordination with planning and production teams Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for internal rejections, customer complaints, and deviations; implement effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) in coordination with CFT

Collaborate with Production, Planning, and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve overall process efficiency.

Manage quality of incoming raw materials and ensure supplier compliance through audits and evaluations. Interface with customers to address quality concerns, provide technical support, and ensure high customer satisfaction. Prepare and present oetailed quality performance reports and metrics to management.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and IATF Core Tools for process and quality improvements. Benchmark best practices in quality systems and implement them within the organization. Drive accreditation initiatives relevant to the manufacturing industry (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, etc.).

Establish quality KPIs and initiate continuous improvement activities.
