Job summary

ZEISS India, headquartered in Bengaluru, seeks a senior process engineering leader to drive manufacturing excellence across casting, surfacing, milling, polishing and coating disciplines.

You will lead cross-functional engineering teams, push automation and Industry 4.0 initiatives, and ensure Lean, Six Sigma and TPM practices. Candidates should have 10–15 years in manufacturing with strong leadership experience in automotive, chemical or electronics industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Chemical or Polymer Engineering.
• Master’s/MBA desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering for casting, Surfacing, Milling, Polishing, Hard Coating and AR Coating.
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Drive automation, Industry 4.0, MES, IoT and predictive maintenance initiatives.
• Implement Lean, Six Sigma, TPM and continuous improvement.
• Ensure quality, EHS and regulatory compliance.
• Lead new equipment installation and process validation.
• Collaborate with global support functions and especially Global Development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead process engineering for casting, Surfacing, Milling, Polishing, Hard Coating and AR Coating.

• Experience: 10–15 years in manufacturing, including at least 8 years leading engineering/process teams.
• Strong experience in Automotive, Chemical or electronic industries, with experience in automation and Lean manufacturing.

Preferred Skills :

• Technical Competencies: Automation projects, Lean tools, Cost reduction projects, Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, SPC, project management.
