Qualifications

• Monitor portfolio and strategize exits to maximize fund IRR.

Job Title: Head of Private Investment Division

The Head of Private Investments will lead the end-to-end transaction lifecycle. This is a "playercoach" role requiring a professional who has been active in the Indian capital markets and possesses the maturity to negotiate with promoters of high-growth companies while managing the rigorous due diligence standards of a premier AIF.

Key Responsibilities

• Deal Sourcing & Origination: Exclusively lead the sourcing of high-alpha private investment opportunities, including Pre-IPO rounds and Anchor blocks.
• Transaction Execution: Manage the entire deal lifecycle from initial screening and complex financial modeling to legal documentation and deal closure.
• Due Diligence Leadership: Oversee rigorous business, financial, and legal due diligence, leveraging external consultants and internal research resources.
• Promoter Engagement: Act as the face of client to promoters and management teams of mid-market companies, building long-term strategic partnerships.
• Investment Committee (IC) Presentation: Formulate and defend investment memos before the IC, demonstrating deep conviction backed by data.
• Portfolio Monitoring: Actively monitor private investments and strategize exit timing to maximize fund IRR.

Candidate Profile

• Industry Tenure: Minimum 78 years of experience in the Indian investment landscape.

Domain Expertise

• At least 45 years of direct experience in Private Equity transactions, Growth Capital, or Pre-IPO investing.

Prior Background

• Must come from a background in a PE or a Large AMC (Private/Growth equity desk).

Qualifications

• Education: MBA, CA or CFA Charterholder.
