Job summary

SaveIN is seeking a Head of Finance for a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram. You will oversee all financial operations, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, while ensuring regulatory compliance and driving data-driven insights in a fast-growing fintech environment.

You will lead the finance team, manage cash flow, support fundraising and investor relations, and collaborate with leadership to optimize financial performance and strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• CA with 8–12+ years of relevant experience in fintech, digital lending, embedded finance, payments, NBFC or other financial services.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting, reporting, taxation, audits, treasury and internal controls.
• Experience handling multiple banking, lending or payment partners and complex financial reconciliations is an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage monthly closures, statutory compliance and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accounting, including journals, the general ledger, payables, receivables and period-end closures.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, management reports and dashboards.
• Lead FP&A activities: budgets, cash-flow forecasts, variance analysis, board/investor reporting.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram. The Head of Finance will oversee all financial operations, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policies. The role involves leading the finance team, developing and implementing financial strategies, managing cash flow, and supporting fundraising and investor relations as needed. The Head of Finance will collaborate closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to provide data-driven insights, optimize financial performance, and support strategic decision-making in a fast-growing fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accounting, including journals, the general ledger, payables, receivables and period-end closures.
• Ensure accurate, timely and complete financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, management reports and financial dashboards.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Prepare annual budgets, operating plans, cash-flow forecasts and periodic financial projections.
• Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide variance analysis and actionable insights to management.
• Prepare financial information and analysis for board meetings, investor updates and senior management reviews.
• Support financial modelling, business planning, scenario analysis and evaluation of new initiatives to inform strategic and commercial decisions.

Treasury & Cash Flow Management

• Oversee timely execution and accounting of vendor payments, employee reimbursements and other corporate payments.
• Maintain maker-checker controls, payment authorisations and bank reconciliations.
• Optimise the use of available funds and maintain adequate liquidity for business requirements.

Lender & Lending-Related Accounting

• Ensure accurate accounting and reconciliation of transactions across lending partners, banks, NBFCs and payment partners.
• Oversee accounting for loan disbursements, settlements, merchant payouts, subvention, refunds and other applicable financial flows.
• Ensure accurate accounting of lender invoices, commercial arrangements, fees, incentives and revenue-sharing arrangements.
• Maintain documentation and financial reporting for lender audits, partner reviews and management requirements.

Taxation & Statutory Compliance

• Ensure timely GST, TDS, income-tax, advance-tax and other statutory filings, returns, reconciliations and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with external tax consultants, company secretaries and other professional advisers.

Audit & Internal Controls

• Lead statutory, internal and tax audits, coordinating auditors, schedules, supporting documents and reconciliations.
• Identify control gaps, strengthen financial governance and close audit observations and management actions promptly.

Process Improvement & Team Management

• Build scalable finance processes, standard operating procedures and internal controls suitable for a growing fintech.
• Identify opportunities to automate accounting, reporting, reconciliations and payment workflows.
• Establish a finance calendar covering monthly closures, reporting, payments, audits and statutory deadlines.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Chartered Accountant with approximately 8–12+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in fintech, digital lending, embedded finance, payments, NBFC or other financial services businesses.
