Broadway is building a separate editorial voice: one with its own point of view on fashion, beauty, wellness, culture, and the way people shop and consume today. We're looking for a Head of Editorial to lead and own that vertical end-to-end.
This is a build role. You'll set the editorial vision, create content IPs from scratch, build the team that makes them, and turn a strong point of view into a repeatable content engine across short-form, carousels, and long-form video. If you're someone who has opinions about consumerism, pop culture, and new-age behaviour that you can't help but share, and you know how to turn those opinions into formats people come back for, this is the role.
What You'll Do
- Own the editorial vertical. Define the vision, positioning, content pillars, and voice, and be accountable for how Broadway Editorial shows up across channels
- Build content IPs from scratch. Conceive, pilot, and scale original formats and series, across everyday short-form, recurring series, and larger produced pieces (including long-form video and shows)
- Lead the point of view. Be the person who has a take on what's happening in consumerism, culture, and the internet, and shape how that translates into editorial output
- Build and manage the team. Hire, mentor, and lead writers, video editors, designers, and creators; set the cadence, quality bar, and ways of working
- Run the content engine. Plan and manage the editorial calendar, weekly and monthly cadence, production workflows, and turnaround across formats
- Drive channel strategy. Own the rollout and performance of editorial across Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms; decide what to double down on, pilot, or kill
- Partner across the business. Work closely with brand, marketing, and leadership so editorial strengthens Broadway's brand without becoming a sales channel
- Track what works. Use audience, engagement, and cultural signals to refine formats and keep the output sharp and relevant
What We're Looking For
- 5-6 years of experience in editorial, content strategy, or brand/media content, with meaningful time spent leading or managing a team
- A track record of building content formats, IPs, or editorial verticals from the ground up, not just executing someone else's plan
- A deep, genuine interest in consumerism, pop culture, internet culture, and new-age consumption, plus strong, well-argued opinions about all of it
- Sharp cultural radar: you spot trends and moments early and know what they mean for brands and audiences
- Strong writing and editorial judgment, with the ability to set and protect a distinctive voice
- Hands-on understanding of video-first and social-first content, from reels and carousels to long-form YouTube
- Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop creative teams, and to manage multiple projects and stakeholders at once
- Strategic and commercial thinking: able to connect editorial output to brand goals and audience growth
Nice to Have
- Experience at a media house, digital-first publication, or brand with a strong editorial arm
- Experience developing or producing video shows, series, or talent-led formats
- Familiarity with fashion, beauty, wellness, or the D2C/retail space in India
- A visible body of work, such as published pieces, formats you've created, or a social presence that shows your point of view
