Job summary

Navi Limited seeks a Head of Corporate Development to shape growth strategy through fundraising and M&A. Reporting to the CFO, you will identify, evaluate, and execute high-impact opportunities aligned with Navi’s mission to make finance accessible to a billion Indians.

The role requires a strong background in corporate finance, M&A, and capital markets, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and drive transactions to closure in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Post graduate degree in business management or a top Bachelor's from a reputed institution.
  • 5–10 years in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or investor relations in startups.
  • Proven track record in closing M&A or funding deals with term sheet drafting and due diligence.
  • Strong deal-closure mindset and ability to drive transactions to completion.
  • Excellent financial analysis, modeling, and valuation skills.
  • Ability to identify strategic opportunities and deliver results across multiple projects.
  • Strong work ethic and superior communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to inform strategy and capital decisions.
  • Provide insights on capital structure, financing strategies, and growth opportunities.
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop Navi's fundraising and corporate strategy.
  • Engage with investors and financial institutions to secure funding and manage relationships.
  • Prepare investment materials, financial models, and pitch decks for potential investors.
  • Analyze and recommend optimal capital structures to support Navi's goals.
  • Collaborate on due diligence, model building, and valuation analyses.
  • Manage transaction processes, including negotiations, structuring, and integration planning.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities.
  • Support CEO and leadership in developing long-term strategic plans.

About the TeamThe Corporate Development team plays a pivotal role in driving Navi's strategic growth, capital initiatives, and inorganic expansion. Operating at the core of Navi’s financial future, our team leads equity capital raising projects—spanning private equity and IPO preparation. We act as a strategic engine for the company, actively monitoring market trends and competitive landscapes to build a robust M&A pipeline. We also foster and maintain vital relationships with both private and public market investors through proactive communication and engagement.Role OverviewNavi is on the lookout for a strong Head, Corporate Development to play a crucial role in shaping the company’s growth strategy by driving fundraising and M&A activities. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be at the forefront of identifying, evaluating, and executing high-impact opportunities that align with our mission to make finance accessible to a billion Indians. This role is ideal for a dynamic professional with a strong background in corporate finance, M&A, and capital markets, who is eager to contribute to Navi’s growth trajectory.What We Expect From YouConduct market research and analysis to inform decision-making and strategydevelopment.Provide insights and recommendations on capital structure, financing strategies, and potential growth opportunitiesPartner with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute Navi’s fundraising & corporate strategyEngage with investors, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to securefunding and manage relationships.Prepare and present investment materials, financial models, and pitch decks to potential investors.Analyze and recommend optimal capital structures and financing strategies tosupport Navi’s strategic goals.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct due diligence, financial modeling,and valuation analyses.Manage transaction processes, including negotiations, deal structuring, and integration planning.Monitor and assess market trends and competitive landscapes to identify potential opportunities.Support the CEO and executive leadership in developing long-term strategic plans.Must HavesPost Graduate degree in Business Management from a reputable institution, or Bachelor's degree from a top institution, or a Top-ranked CAPrior work experience of 5-10 years in the Investment Banking / Private Equity / Venture Capital roles, or Investor Relations roles within Startups.Track record of having closed M&A/ funding transactions with experience in personally handling Term Sheet Drafting and Negotiation, getting Due Diligence done through vendors (Financial / legal / tax), Valuation Analysis (DCF / Multiples (Trading and Transaction)), Final Documentation Drafting and Negotiation.Strong hustle and deal-closure mindset, with a relentless focus on driving transactions to completion.Strong financial analysis, modeling, and valuation skills.Prior experience of identifying strategic opportunities, developing recommendations to achieve, and delivering resultsAbility to manage multiple complex projects and internal and external stakeholders from different functions, businesses, and backgroundsStrong work ethic resulting in consistent, high-quality performanceAbility to thrive in a highly dynamic, time sensitive, and collaborative environmentExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
