Job summary

Crescendo Global Leadership Hiring India seeks a seasoned Head of IT Risk / Cybersecurity Risk to steer the 2nd Line of Defense for a global banking GCC. The role drives enterprise IT risk governance, independent cybersecurity oversight, regulatory compliance, and executive risk reporting aligned with global standards.

The incumbent will manage risk governance across Corporate IT and Service Delivery, collaborate with global risk teams and business leaders, and report to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 15–25 years of IT risk or cybersecurity risk management experience in financial services.
• Leading 2nd Line of Defense IT Risk with governance and executive reporting.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and enterprise IT risk frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT risk governance framework, policies, standards, risk appetite and executive reporting.
• Provide independent 2nd Line oversight of cybersecurity risk, incidents, SOC controls.
• Drive risk assessments, KRIs, dashboards, and leadership reporting to Board and stakeholders.

We are hiring an experienced Head of IT Risk / Cybersecurity Risk to lead the 2nd Line of Dfense (Corporate IT Risk) function for a leading global banking GCC. This leadership role is responsible for driving enterprise IT risk governance, independent cybersecurity risk oversight, regulatory compliance, and executive-level risk reporting while ensuring alignment with global banking standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the enterprise IT Risk Governance framework, including policies, standards, risk appetite, and executive risk reporting.
• Provide independent 2nd Line oversight of cybersecurity risk, incident management, SOC controls, and information boundary risks.
• Drive IT risk assessments, risk registers, KRIs, dashboards, and reporting for senior leadership, Board, and global stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with IT governance, cybersecurity, and financial services regulatory requirements while managing audit and regulatory engagements.
• Partner with global risk teams and business leaders to strengthen IT risk management across Corporate and Service Delivery environments.

Requirements

• 15-25 years of experience in IT Risk, Information Security, or Cybersecurity Risk Management within the financial services industry.
• Strong experience leading 2nd Line of Dfense IT Risk functions, including policy ownership, governance, and independent risk oversight.
• Expertise in cybersecurity risk, regulatory compliance, audit management, and enterprise IT risk frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001/27005, COBIT, and COSO ERM.
• Proven experience in GCC/Global Banking environments with strong stakeholder management and executive-level reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science/Engineering; MBA/master’s and certifications such as CRISC, CISM, CISSP, CISA, CGEIT, or COBIT are preferred.
