Job summary

Magma General Insurance Limited seeks a senior infrastructure leader to define and execute the enterprise technology infrastructure strategy. You will partner with the CTO on a multi-year roadmap focusing on digital transformation, cybersecurity, and regulatory resilience.

The role emphasizes cloud workload transformation, platform engineering, disaster recovery, and cost governance, with strong emphasis on governance, risk, and automation across critical infrastructure domains.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and manage enterprise technology infrastructure strategy for high availability, security, scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with CTO to map multi-year technology roadmap aligned with growth, digital transformation, cybersecurity, regulatory and resilience objectives.
• Drive infrastructure modernization, automation, and reduction of technical debt while managing budgets and vendor relationships.
• Establish governance, policies, operating models and lifecycle management for infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with IRDAI, cybersecurity frameworks and information security standards.

Job description

• Responsible for defining, implementing, and managing the organization’s enterprise technology infrastructure strategy, ensuring high availability, security, scalability, resilience, and performance of technology platforms supporting the insurance business.
• Work along with the CTO for a multi-year technology roadmap aligned with business growth, digital transformation, cybersecurity, regulatory, and resilience objectives.
• Specific skills around OCI and Azure cloud for workload transformation, network modernization, platform engineering, disaster recovery, infrastructure automation, and cloud cost governance.
• Establish infrastructure architecture principles, governance standards, technology policies, operating models, and lifecycle management practices.
• Drive infrastructure modernization, simplification, standardization, automation, and reduction of technical debt.
• Own infrastructure budgets, capacity planning, strategic sourcing, vendor relationships, licensing, and technology investments.
• Establish measurable infrastructure KPIs covering availability, reliability, performance, security, cost efficiency, automation, and service quality.
• Drive infrastructure automation across provisioning, configuration, patching, monitoring, backup, compliance, and remediation.
• Own and conduct regular assessments and audits of infrastructure to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Strong understanding of CSP frameworks and standards, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001:2017, and CSA Cloud Controls Matrix.
• Strong Understanding of cloud security tools and technologies, such as identity and access management (IAM), encryption, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and security information and event management (SIEM) solutions, Zero Trust etc.
• Collaborate with teams to enable CI/CD, DevSecOps, Cloud-native architecture, and platform engineering.
• Ensure infrastructure architecture and operations comply with applicable IRDAI requirements, cybersecurity frameworks, information security standards, internal risk policies, and audit requirements.
• Establish governance for outsourced and managed infrastructure services to ensure accountability and service performance.
• Build and lead high-performing teams covering infrastructure, cloud engineering, database infrastructure, network, platform engineering, automation, DevOps, workplace technologies, and AI infrastructure.
