Job summary

Della Group is seeking a passionate Furniture Designer to join the R&D and Design team in Lonavala. You will develop bespoke luxury furniture and shepherd products from concept to prototype while collaborating with design, engineering and production teams.

The role emphasizes design excellence, technical detailing, and exploring premium finishes and materials. This is a hands-on position for a creative professional with strong CAD and visualization skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Furniture Design, Industrial Design or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in furniture design or bespoke furniture manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of furniture construction, joinery and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in CAD and 3D modeling tools such as AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp, SolidWorks or Fusion 360.
• Experience with rendering software like KeyShot or V-Ray is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design bespoke furniture for luxury residential, hospitality, and commercial projects.
• Develop concepts, sketches, technical drawings and production-ready designs.
• Create detailed furniture drawings, BOMs and manufacturing specifications.
• Collaborate with R&D, engineering and production teams to ensure feasibility.
• Select materials, finishes, hardware and upholstery based on design intent.
• Develop 3D models and high-quality renders for presentations and approvals.
• Participate in prototype development, product testing and refinements.
• Ensure designs meet quality, cost and timeline requirements.
• Research global furniture trends and new techniques to drive innovation.

• Select appropriate materials, finishes, hardware and upholstery based on design intent and functionality.
• Develop 3D models and high-quality renders for design presentations and approvals.
• Participate in prototype development, product testing and design refinements.
• Ensure all designs meet quality, cost and timeline requirements.
• Research global furniture trends, materials and manufacturing techniques to drive product innovation.

Desired Profile:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Furniture Design, Industrial Design, Product Design or Interior Design.
• 5-18 years of experience in furniture design, product design or bespoke furniture manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of furniture construction, joinery, ergonomics and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp, SolidWorks or Fusion 360.
• Experience with KeyShot, V-Ray or other rendering software is preferred.
• Knowledge of wood, metal, stone, glass, upholstery and premium finishes.
• Strong technical detailing, visualization and problem-solving skills.
