Job summary

Intellectual Capital HR Consulting Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad is seeking a Head of Fund Accounting for an alternatives investment management business (AIF and PMS).

You will lead a team at Manager and Analyst levels, own end-to-end fund accounting for Category I‑III schemes, and report to the CFO. Key duties include sign-off on NAV, unit capital, expense accruals and distributions; oversee statutory and internal audits; implement financial controls; drive automation of NAV packs and reporting; and

Qualifications

• CA is mandatory for this role.
• Big 4 experience is mandatory/advantageous for the position.
• AIF environment experience is preferred as an asset.

Responsibilities

• Review and finalise scheme financial statements against applicable accounting standards and SEBI reporting requirements.
• Design and enforce the financial control framework – maker-checker, reconciliations and review discipline.
• Own the statutory and internal audit cycle for all schemes; liaise with auditors, custodians, fund accountants, registrars, trustees and tax advisors.
• Lead selection, implementation and optimisation of fund accounting systems; automate NAV packs, reconciliations and reporting.
• Build, supervise, train and review the fund accounting team.

Key responsibilities:

• End-to-end fund accounting for PMS and AIF schemes across Category I, II and III structures

Please note: investor onboarding, KYC and client servicing sit with a separate Fund Operations team. This seat partners with that function but does not own it.

Three mandatory gates: Chartered Accountant (non-CA candidates will not be considered), Big 4 experience (articleship and/or post-qualification), and AIF environment experience. Chartered Accountant - mandatory. Additional CFA or MBA (Finance) is an advantage, not a substitute. Big 4 experience mandatory.
