Job summary

Storeyboard Design in Bangalore is seeking an experienced Design Head to lead our Interior Design team across residential and commercial projects. You will mentor designers, oversee concept development, and ensure high-quality delivery while maintaining design excellence.

The role requires strong leadership, client relationship skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects from concept to handover. Collaboration with sales and procurement will be essential to drive innovative design

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Master's Degree is an added advantage.
• 15+ years of experience in Interior Design.
• Minimum 35 years of experience leading a design team.
• Experience in luxury residential and commercial interior projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Interior Design team.
• Develop creative design concepts aligned with client requirements.
• Review and approve layouts, mood boards, presentations, drawings, and material selections.
• Ensure all projects meet the company's design standards and quality expectations.
• Oversee multiple projects from concept to handover.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Execution Team, Procurement, and Vendors.
• Monitor project progress and resolve design-related challenges.
• Meet clients to understand project requirements and expectations.
• Present design concepts confidently and secure client approvals.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Handle client escalations related to design.
• Lead, mentor, and train Interior Designers and Junior Designers.
• Allocate projects and monitor team performance.
• Conduct regular design reviews and performance evaluations.
• Encourage innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Ensure accuracy of design drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
• Standardize design processes, templates, and documentation.
• Introduce new materials, technologies, and design trends.
• Maintain compliance with company SOPs and quality standards.
• Work closely with the Sales team during client presentations.
• Support business development by providing innovative design solutions.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and market developments.
