Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the security automation strategy and governance frameworks.
  • Oversee AI-driven analytics, CCTV, access control, and biometric systems for scalable security.
  • Provide project governance including budgeting, risk mitigation and KPI tracking.
  • Shape vendor selection, negotiate partnerships and monitor performance.
  • Institute metrics and drive innovation to benchmark against global standards.
  • Lead and mentor security teams and collaborate with business units.

Job description

Purpose/Objective

The Head of Security Automation provides strategic direction and leadership in implementing and managing advanced security technologies across the conglomerate.
This role is pivotal in driving innovation, establishing standards, and ensuring optimal performance of security systems in alignment with organizational objectives.
The role also encompasses stakeholder collaboration, project governance, and fostering technological excellence to safeguard assets and improve operational efficiency across diverse business units

Key Responsibilities of Role
  • Strategic Leadership: Define and lead the security automation strategy; establish governance frameworks; champion innovation; influence policy development.
  • Security Technology & Automation: Oversee AI-driven analytics, IoT devices and monitoring platforms; ensure scalability of CCTV, access control and biometric systems; develop automated threat detection and response frameworks; leverage analytics for optimization.
  • Project Governance: Provide oversight for security automation projects, budgeting, risk mitigation, KPI tracking and quality benchmarks.
  • Partner Selection & Engagement: Shape vendor selection strategy; negotiate partnerships; monitor vendor performance.
  • Performance Improvement: Institute metrics, drive innovation, optimize systems and benchmark against global standards.
  • People Leadership: Lead and mentor teams, develop succession plans and collaborate with business units.

  • Industry Preferred: Utility industry experience with exposure to corporate security best practices and innovative security technology solutions preferred.
