Job summary

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the IT application strategy aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Lead modernization initiatives including core system upgrades, platform rationalization, automation, and cloud adoption.
• Oversee design, development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise applications.
• Ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and reliability of applications.
• Govern SDLC, release management, UAT, and change management processes.
• Ensure compliance with RBI regulations, internal audits, IS audit requirements, data privacy, and information security standards.
• Manage key application vendors, system integrators, and OEMs, including contract negotiations and SLA governance.
• Lead and mentor a team of application managers, solution architects, analysts, and support leads.

The Head Applications (IT) is responsible for the end-to-end ownership and strategic direction of all enterprise applications supporting NBFC operations. The role ensures applications are scalable, secure, compliant, and aligned with business goals, while enabling digital transformation, operational efficiency, and regulatory adherence.

The role operates in a highly regulated NBFC/BFSI environment, managing mission-critical applications such as LOS/LMS, finance, treasury, and digital platforms. It requires close collaboration with senior stakeholders, regulators, and vendors while balancing business growth, technology transformation, risk, and compliance priorities.

Role & responsibilities

• Define and drive the IT application strategy aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Lead modernization initiatives including core system upgrades, platform rationalization, automation, and cloud adoption (where applicable).

Technical & Domain Skills

• Strong expertise in NBFC application landscape, including:
• LOS/LMS, Collections, Treasury, Finance, CRM
• Experience with core financial systems, APIs, integrations, and middleware.
• Sound knowledge of RBI regulations, NBFC compliance, and audit requirements.
• Understanding of information security, data privacy, and IT controls.

Bachelors degree

in Engineering (Computer Science / IT / Electronics) or equivalent.

Masters degree (MBA / M.Tech)

preferred.

• 8-10+ years in senior application leadership roles within NBFC / BFSI.
