Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy is seeking a seasoned Head Accounts & Commercial for its Ahmedabad operations. The role demands oversight of financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow management, with emphasis on cost optimization and strong accounting controls.

The candidate should have 15+ years of experience in finance within the machine manufacturing sector, with expertise in Ind AS/IFRS, GST, TDS, and banking relations. ERP/SAP experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• MBA/CA/PGDFA or commerce degree with 15+ years of experience
• Experience: minimum 15 years in finance roles

• Proficient in financial statements under Ind AS/IFRS and Companies Act
• GST, TDS, ITC, FEMA compliance and banking/treasury processes

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Manage working capital, fund-raising and credit facilities, banking relations and treasury operations.
• Prepare P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements; ensure Ind AS/IFRS compliance.
• Capital budgeting and project planning; use financial models (NPV, IRR, Payback).
• Costing, BOM verification, COGS monitoring and inventory control.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for cost data and insights.
• Co-ordinate with consultants for assessments; tax compliance support.
• MIS reporting to CEO; ensure statutory compliance under tax laws

Hiring for Head Accounts & Commercial

Requirements

• Education: MBA/ PGDFA/ CA /B.Com/M Com/ with 15+ yrs exp.

Roles & Responsibility

• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management, ensure cost optimization and improve financial efficiencies across the company, Implement financial controls and risk management.
• Manage working capital, fund-raising and credit facilities, banking relations and treasury operations effectively, Exposure of PBG, Import & Inland L/C Creation, Handling Statutory/Internal Audit.
• Preparation of financial statements (P&L, BS, CF), Monthly Accounts in compliance with Ind AS/IFRS and Companies Act, FEMA compliance, Managing accounts receivable/payable, Inventory Control, Monthly MIS.
• Investment Decisions, Project Planning and Control, Capital Budgeting, working with financial models for discounted cash flow, NPV, IRR, Payback calculation, Price negotiation, Manage investor relations.
• Collecting and Studying data to determine costs of business activity such as RM/PM purchase, Inventory and Labour, Analysing actual manufacturing costs, Variances analysis and areas for process improvement.
• Work with cross-functional teams to collect cost-related data and insights.
• Monthly verification of BOM and update of same, Monitoring COGS, Overhead calculation, Margin Analysis, Product Costing in ERP /SAP.
• Responsible for all statutory compliance under direct & indirect tax laws (Income Tax, Advance Tax, TDS, GST etc.), Co-ordinate with consultants for representation related to assessments with tax authorities.
• Monthly filing GSTR1 & GSTR-3B, 2A/2B reconciliation, GSTR1/GSTR-3B reconciliation, Books vs. Return reconciliation, knowledge of ITC, RCM, GSTR 9 & 9C filing, handling IT/GST notices with department.
• Coordinate with CEO for MIS related to finance.
