Job summary

techcarrot in India seeks an experienced WCM/Portal developer to own evaluation, development and deployment of HCL DX WCM applications. You’ll work with the business to translate requirements into technical specs and configure DX WCM as per standards.

You will also develop test scripts, support end users, and drive change controls, with strong JAVA/J2EE and REST API skills and good English communication expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in WCM/Portal 8/8.5/9 development.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert level skills in evaluation, development, testing and delivery of HCL DX WCM applications.
• Collaborate with business to identify functional requirements and create technical specifications.
• Create/modify HCL DX WCM configurations using development standards and design specs.
• Develop test scripts, perform unit testing, and contribute to integration testing.
• Provide technical support to end users, diagnose issues, identify root causes and take corrective actions.
• Carry out impact assessments for change requests and propose cost-effective solutions.
• Ensure change controls are developed, tested and released on schedule and escalate high-impact changes.
• Involve in support and development activities and develop strong business process design skills.

Job Description

• Provide an expert level of skills & knowledge in the evaluation, development, testing and delivery of HCL DX WCM application and business process developments.
  
• Collaborate with the business in identifying functional requirements for process groups, and create corresponding technical specifications
  
• Create and modify HCL DX WCM configurations using defined development standards, procedures, and design specifications
  
• Develop test scripts, perform unit testing, and contribute to integration testing of development objects
  
• Provide technical support to end users; diagnose and resolve application-related issues, identify root causes, as well as institute corrective actions and preventive measures.
  
• Carry out detailed impact assessments for proposed change requests, proposing alternative cost-effective solutions where appropriate.
  
• Ensure change controls are developed, tested & released according to an agreed schedule and ensure all high business impact changes are escalated as appropriate.
  
• Expected to be involved in support activities and numerous development activities and to have developed excellent business process design skills.
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in WCM/Portal 8/8.5/9 development.
  
• Ability to design solution and implement in WCM/Portal environment.
  
• Expert on WCM and DAM REST API.
  
• Experience on using HCL DX as a headless Content management system
  
• Personalization and search configurations
  
• Extensive knowledge on WCM components design and development
  
• Good understanding of JAVA/J2EE and portlet development
  
• Preferable knowledge on dockers, container and Kubernetes
  
• Experience with XML data import/export, including XML schema validation, data transformation, and integration with enterprise applications.
  
• WCM Debugging skills
  
• Good communication skills in English language.
