Job summary

Excelencia Itech Consulting seeks a Senior HCL Commerce Developer to design, build, and support enterprise eCommerce apps on HCL Commerce (WebSphere). You will collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions while supporting integrations and modernization efforts.

You will mentor juniors, participate in SDLC, and drive production support, upgrades, and performance tuning in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• 6+ years of Java/J2EE development (Spring, Servlets, JSP, JDBC).
• 5+ years of HCL Commerce (WebSphere Commerce) development.
• Strong knowledge of HCL Commerce architecture, Catalog, Orders, Pricing, Promotions, Search, and CMC.
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, SQL/PLSQL, and Git/JIRA.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Cloud, and CI/CD is preferred.
• Experience in HCL Commerce upgrades/migrations and production support.
• Strong analytical, communication, and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain HCL Commerce apps and enhancements.
• Customize HCL Commerce modules incl. Catalog, Orders, Pricing, Promotions, and Search.
• Develop/integrate ERP, CRM, OMS, payment gateways via REST/SOAP APIs.
• Participate in design, code reviews, testing, deployment, and SDLC practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance.
• Support HCL Commerce upgrades/migrations and modernization.
• Collaborate with DevOps for CI/CD, release management, deployment.
• Mentor junior developers and enforce coding/architecture standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain HCL Commerce applications and enhancements.
• Customize HCL Commerce modules including Catalog, Orders, Pricing, Promotions, Payments, and Search.
• Develop and support integrations with ERP, CRM, OMS, payment gateways, tax services, and third-party applications using REST/SOAP APIs.
• Participate in solution design, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support following SDLC best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and optimize application performance.
• Support HCL Commerce upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD, release management, and deployment automation.
