Job summary

Acesoft Labs is hiring a Lab Equipment Testing Engineer to support installation, upgrades and preventive maintenance for advanced semiconductor lab equipment in Bangalore. You will ensure uptime, calibration readiness and reliability across ATE systems and supporting infrastructure.

The role requires hands-on electrical/mechanical troubleshooting, Linux/Windows proficiency, and strong documentation. You will interact with vendors and internal teams to drive AMC/PMC schedules and compliance with

Qualifications

• Experience in equipment maintenance and manufacturing equipment support.
• Exposure to ATE equipment (Advantest preferred).
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, upgrade and maintain lab equipment.
• Maintain equipment notices, upgrades and saftey docs (sic).
• Improve uptime and reliability via preventive programs.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on equipment.
• Manage advanced equipment: Advantest ATE testers, MAG5/MAG2, chambers/ovens.
• Coordinate AMC/PMC with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Perform quarterly/half-year calibration checks.
• Daily software updates, reboots, DUT checks and connectivity.
• Load/unload parts and binaries on testers.
• Maintain documentation in Confluence or similar tool.
• Follow PPE, lockout and safety procedures.
• Support TPM, 6S, ISO/IATF lab standards.

Job Summary

The engineer will work with ATE systems and supporting infrastructure to ensure consistent reliability, calibration readiness, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation, modification, upgrade & maintenance of manufacturing/lab equipment
• Maintain equipment notices, upgrades and safety documentation
• Improve equipment uptime and reliability via preventive programs
• Electrical + mechanical troubleshooting and repair support
• Manage advanced equipment:
• Advantest ATE testers
• MAG5 / MAG2
• Chambers / ovens
• Drive AMC/PMC schedules with vendors and internal stakeholders
• Perform equipment calibration (Quarterly/Half-yearly)
• Daily checks: software updates, reboots, DUT checks, sessions, connectivity

Mandatory Skills (Must Have)
