Job summary

Thales Group in Bangalore is seeking a Hardware System Test Bench Engineer with 4–7 years of experience to support test hardware design and integration for civil and defence projects. You will elaborate requirements, develop BOMs, ICDs and wiring diagrams, and contribute to IVVQ activities using CAD tools.

The role requires hands-on experience with COTS test equipment, analog/digital electronics, and familiarity with RoHS, DO-160 and IPC standards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with laboratory instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, power supplies, and data acquisition systems.
• Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics, circuit design, and schematic development using ORCAD/Cadence Allegro, AUTOCAD.
• Experience performing hardware IVVQ testing to ensure systems meet requirements.
• Awareness of RoHS, REACH, WEEE, CE Marking, DO-160 and IPC-610/IPC-620 manufacturing standards.

Responsibilities

• Elaborates the requirements and supports in the test hardware design and development.
• Contributes to the hardware architectural design and generates associated manufacturing definition files (BOM, ICD).
• Performs CAD activities for wiring harnesses and electrical interfaces.
• Develops supporting documents like technical construction file and maintenance manuals.
• Participates in integration and verification phases of test benches.
