Job summary

Ficosa India seeks an senior Hardware Design professional to drive ADAS hardware development, including PCB design, PMIC integration, and high-speed interfaces. You will own DFMEA activities and collaborate with global teams to ensure robust, compliant hardware solutions.

The role requires extensive hands-on PCB work, leadership of hardware teams, and strong English communication in a geographically diverse environment.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in Hardware Product Design.
  • Hands-on PCB design experience with high-speed protocols, microprocessor/microcontroller circuits, power design, image sensors, and ISP.
  • Proven DFMEA and reliability engineering experience.
  • Experience resolving EMI/EMC issues per automotive standards.
  • Experience designing with PMICs and working with I2C, SPI, QSPI.
  • Hands-on debugging with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and related instruments.
  • Mentors engineers and leads technical assignments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
  • Ability to work in geographically distributed, cross-functional, diverse teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design and validate hardware for ADAS systems, ensuring functional correctness and design feasibility.
  • Design and maintain footprint libraries, schematic parts, and ECAD; perform routing, electronic calculations, and simulations for ADAS hardware designs.
  • Design using PMICs; design and program communication protocols including I2C, SPI, and QSPI.
  • Lead PCB design involving high-speed communication protocols, microprocessor/microcontroller architecture, power supply design, image sensors, and ISP.
  • Own DFMEA and reliability activities across hardware programs.
  • Resolve EMI/EMC issues in compliance with automotive standards.
  • Drive prototype delivery, debugging, rework, board bring-up, and manufacturing support, including hardware defect documentation and tracking.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the hardware product team; guide technical assignments and ensure team effectiveness and development.
  • Collaborate across Mechanical, Hardware, Software, Requirements, and Architecture teams in a geographically distributed, culturally diverse environment.

Job description

Key Responsibilities
