Job summary

Expleo in India, Chennai district, is seeking an EMI/EMC Engineer with automotive electronics to support EMC design, testing, validation, and compliance activities.

The candidate should have hands-on expertise in automotive EMC standards, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and system-level EMC validation. This role involves collaboration across hardware, software, and validation teams.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, analyze, and document EMI/EMC validation and compliance testing for automotive electronic systems and ECUs.
  • Perform conducted/radiated emissions, immunity, ESD, and transient testing according to automotive, OEM, and international EMC standards.
  • Develop EMC requirements, test plans, procedures, reports, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct EMC design reviews and support PCB layout, grounding, shielding, filtering, harness routing, and EMC protection techniques.
  • Investigate EMC test failures, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive corrective actions to meet compliance requirements.
  • Support pre‑compliance testing and provide design recommendations to improve EMC performance.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve EMC‑related issues throughout product development.
  • Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and external EMC test laboratories for validation and certification activities.
  • Review EMC test results and provide technical recommendations for design improvements and compliance.
  • Support product development from concept through production release, ensuring adherence to customer‑specific, regulatory, and automotive EMC standards.

EMC PIlot

We are looking for an EMI/EMC Engineer with automotive electronics to support EMC design, testing, validation, and compliance activities. The candidate should possess hands‑on expertise in automotive EMC standards, troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and system‑level EMC validation.

Preferred candidate profile

Plan, execute, analyze, and document EMI/EMC validation and compliance testing for automotive electronic systems and ECUs.

Perform conducted/radiated emissions, immunity, ESD, and transient testing in accordance with automotive, OEM, and international EMC standards.

Develop EMC requirements, test plans, procedures, reports, and technical documentation.

Conduct EMC design reviews and support implementation of best practices related to PCB layout, grounding, shielding, filtering, harness routing, and EMC protection techniques.

Investigate EMC test failures, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive corrective actions to meet compliance requirements.

Support pre‑compliance testing and provide design recommendations to improve EMC performance.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (hardware, software, system, mechanical, PCB, and validation) to resolve EMC‑related issues throughout product development.
