Job summary

Cyient is seeking an experienced hardware engineer to design and verify embedded boards. You will handle schematic capture, PCB layout, and FPGA design/simulation, while ensuring EMI/EMC compliance and robust motor control circuitry.

You will collaborate in a multidisciplinary team and contribute to product development from concept through validation. Your role includes hardware specification, test planning, and hands-on board bring-up with diagnostic testing across analog/digital circuits and

Qualifications

• Experience designing boards with microcontrollers and peripherals.
• Experience in analog/digital circuit and power-supply design.
• Knowledge of interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, USB, Ethernet.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout using CAD tools.
• Component selection, BOM, thermal calculations and SPICE simulations.
• EMI/EMC compliant design and layout reviews.
• Documented hardware development: HDD, test plans and test reports.
• Board bring-up, testing and troubleshooting.
• Experience with test equipment (DSO, signal generator, thermal imager, data logger).
• System-level testing and validation of electronic products.
• Motor control circuit design (BDC, BLDC, stepper).
• Strong teamwork, communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, design boards using electronic components to meet specs.
• Create hardware specs, PCB schematics and FPGA design/simulation.
• Perform verification and integrate with embedded software.
• Develop layout guidelines and review processes.
• Prepare documentation and support board bring-up and test.

Job description

• Experience in designing microcontroller boards and associated peripheral circuits.
• Experience in analog and digital circuit design, board level power supply design (Buck, Boost, LDO, Linear).
• Knowledge in communication interfaces like SPI, I2C, UART, USB, Ethernet, etc.
• Experience with CAD packages (Altium/ORCAD/Mentor Graphics) for schematic capture and PCB layout design.
• Knowledge of components selections/design, BOM preparation, thermal calculations, and spice simulations.
• Experience in EMI/EMC compliant design.
• Experience in preparing layout guidelines and review.
• Experience in preparing documents like HDD, test plan, test report etc.
• Experience in board bring-up, testing and troubleshooting the electronic circuits.
• Experience in using equipment’s like DSO, signal generator, thermal imager, data logger.
• Experience in system level testing and validation of electronic products.
• Experience in actuator and motor control circuit design (BDC, BLDC, stepper).

Added Advantages:
